Escaleras manuales

Esta aplicación permite verificar las condiciones de seguridad en la utilización de las escaleras manuales para uso profesional. Están incluidas las escaleras manuales de un tramo y extensibles de apoyo y las de tijera o auto-estables, según lo indicado en la serie de las normas técnicas UNE-EN 131.
Están fuera del campo de aplicación las escaleras fabricadas de material aislante para trabajos eléctricos, según la UNE-EN 61478.
Antes de realizar un trabajo en altura sobre una escalera manual, se deben EVALUAR los riesgos que presenta la tarea y si existen otros medios de acceso y permanencia más seguros.
Su uso debe limitarse a situaciones con bajo nivel de riesgo (trabajos esporádicos y de corta duración, de menos de 30 minutos que no requieran esfuerzo físico ni manipulación manual de cargas) y otras en las que por las dimensiones del espacio no permite el uso de otros medios de acceso.
