Shoparoo: School Fundraising

It's a good app but it marks almost half of my receipts as duplicates when they are not! I keep making them as mistakes but they don't get fixed... it's a bit frustrating.

Used to love it, especially after my school finally got paid for my 3 years on using the app. well, i asked for help with receipts being wrongfully denied and had my account deactivated. Why? Because i also have a receipt hog account. Tried really hard to not redeem the same receipts on both apps, remain within the limits of so many uploads per period, being really careful about only submitting receipts that counted, not gas receipts. But because i have an account on each app, i was told my receipt hog account was being disabled. I wnt and tried to log into my shoparoo and found that THAT account had been disabled instead. What liars. I guess helping your home budget and your school ast the same time is frowned upon. And sad thing is, the school i was helping will now suffer because i was the most active account holder for my school. I hues you have to choose which you really care about. Helping your school or helping your home budget go just a bit further. And i don't have facebook. Funny how you make that the only way to fix your issues. No. You need to get real and realize your app could help those with tight budgets, but you deny us that.

It has some glitches but is good for the most part.

Doesn't work anymore. App closes when you try to use it. If it is fixed I would continue to use if not DELETE

It is a bit slow but otherwise it is awesome because free money goes towards your school????

Great way to help my kids school and also perfect for keeping track of receipts.

Easy to use but what I don't like about it, is that if you submit the same receipt on receipt hog or here, it claims that it's a duplicate receipt

Update as of 10/31/17: The app is miraculously working again & I was able to upload all of my receipts that I have been holding onto. Luckily, I think they were still within the acceptable timeframe. I appreciate the response from the Shoparoo team below & will contact them directly for any further issues. Thanks! The App hasn't worked for days. You can use any feature except the camera button which you need to snap photos of your receipts. I've tried to restart, sent feedback on multiple occasions, even uninstalled & reinstalled the app. Nothing has worked to correct the problem.

Great app except that I haven't gotten points for over half my receipts in the last few weeks including one that was for almost $1000. Disappointing when you are trying to earn for a classroom.

great app ... up until this past week. it keeps crashing every time I try to open the camera to scan a receipt. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Please help!

I love the idea of this app but I really wish you could do 2 separate accounts on 1 app. I have 2 boys in 2 diffrent schools and now I have to chose one or the other which I dont think is really fair. Please fix this because this is such a great app for schools.

Well if it actually worked maybe I could write a more thorough review. Our school isn't even coming up as an option for me when everyone else is able to get it.

Well out of the blue i was at 460 points and they disabled it on me with no reason why. Im a truck driver and you just disable it. Because my school my kids goes to school and you dont like it. This is just a HACK DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY DOES NOT HAPPEN I HAVE ASKED THE SCHOOL. THEY NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM YOU......

Would be better if my receipts that I upload to get points for would go thru instead of saying they are duplicates. For example I shop at 7- Eleven quite a bit and Walmart and Smart & Final. So I have lots of receipts with different dates on them that come back as duplicates. Would be nice to be awarded for those receipts.

I submitted a receipt for vitamin shoppe and it was recorded as JC Penney. What is going on?

I think more schools need to know about shoparoo!

Cool way to raise money.

Started out really loving this app. It's a great way to fundraise and it's easy to do. However lately they've been saying my receipts are duplicates when they really are not. I lost 40 receipts because of this. That's a lot of points my school lost out on. Then I find out that if you have a receipt hog... The sister app... that is why the receipts are being a marked as a duplicate. That is so unfair because who would have known they were sister app and who would have known that you can only use one or the other. Did not see any of this in the fine print. So basically you have to pick between turning points for your family or earning points for the school. That's a bad position to put a person in.

Easy to use and a simple way to earn extra money for schools that help children.

Great way to earn money for your school!

I love this app, but any receipts over 100$ only earn 40 roo points, so for example I uploaded a $101.09 receipt which gave me 40 roo points then a $353.00 receipt which also gave me 40 points, i think it's unfair considering there's a huge difference in the dollar amount, their point system needs to be updated, I have to do split transactions to acquire the max roo points which is awfully inconvenient.

It makes you feel that you are doing more for the education of the children.
