About Bluetooth Class Zero

This application enables discovery and pairing with bluetooth devices that report their Class of Device (CoD) code as 0x00 (zero). Currently there is a bug in the Broadcom bluetooth stack that, for some reason, intentionally skips discovery of all such devices.

Tested as working on LG Optimus One and HTC Desire HD only. Confirmed not to work on Samsung Galaxy S. Please comment to confirm whether it works on other phones.

This app does not recognize bluetooth devices in the vicinity of a Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos on which it is installed. I am trying desperately to pair my phone with Pioneer AVH-X5590BT which accepts only "0000" as its pin :(

I have a class zero bluetooth diagnostic device designed to read BMW motorcycle ECMs. I was unable to pair it with my LG Optimus V (VM670) until I found this app. Thanks!

Does not work on my Desire S. Thought I'd try it in spite of other's issues and my phone still operates 100%. I had to at least give it an extra star for effort to overcome the issue. Thanks and looking forward to an update! HTC Desire S Android 2.3.5 HTC Sense 3.0

Zephyr HxM HRM doesn't work on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, (Android 4.0.3) and I suspect it's this problem. My Mac reports that it pretends to be a class 0 serial port (Major class 0x1f; minor 0x0; service 0x0). The tablet sees and pairs with the device, but any app that attempts to use it ends in a re-pair loop and never successfully connects to it. Unfortunately, this app doesn't fix the issue, but kudos to the author for running with the problem!

Unfortunately it can't. Samsung Galaxy Ace with 2.3.6 FW introduced the bug whose this app is supposed to workaround. But it can't. If you're here for this same reason, leave it alone. This one can't help. Hope the developer will update it soon.

My phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace, stock (provider branded) Android 2.3.6) still can't see serialbluetooth device, therefore is unable to pair with it. Other phones (Motorola Defy with custom ROM, Nokia E71) see this device perfectly (without app). Mine however can't see this device, neither in settings->wireless and networks->bluetooth settings->scan devices nor in bluetooth class zero->start discovery. Phone of course can see and pair with other devices (computers, hands free, other phones etc.) Of course, I can't be sure if I'm encountering the case of "class zero" device but I highly suspect so.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work on the Galaxy GIO s5660. I tried to discover an ODBII ELM327 bluetooth adapter that I have but this app doesn't seem detect them; it says there were zero devices found.

I use the FrSky RC radio with a bluetooth module to show telemetry info on my phone with FrSky dashboard app. One day my phone would not see the module anymore but other phones would connect just fine. I have been trying to fix this for months now. I installed other ROMs etc, nothing would work. Your app fixed this in an instant. While the system settings do not show connection, the telemetry app detects bluetooth and connects perfect again. Thank you very very much!! Raymond Lohengrin
