Great application! Works perfectly on my "Rooted" EVO using a custom ROM. No issues. Thank you
I'd love to scroll through the alphabet on the right, like on the HTC touch pro 2. Otherwise, great app. Being able to sort by category rocks. Evo
Look and layout is def better than native contact app. Nice if it worked with global search, search within the app, and turn sideways when kbd slides
HTC ChaCha. Just lists contacts more neatly. Wrong way up on this handset!Does not show full mailing addr.Little user adjustability.Needs free trial.
A very good app that is a valid replacement for the default Contact app. Well worth the money.
Selecting a contact from a group requires at least 6 taps Sorted groups would be nice (without the System... prefix)
Much better than anything else on the market. Does what it says it will do. Need to edit contacts and manage missed calls.
Works great on my Droid X with 2.2
Refreshing window wont stop spinning making this paid app 100% useless
Looks good but the group filter does not work. I have a Motorola Attic. Not useful when you have 200+ contacts and can not view groups
No nook color support.
Youlu address book is better and free
Crap. Does not work... At all.
UI colors could use some work, but otherwise works fine. HTC Incredible.
Works for me...Droidx
REMORTON I use it on the Vibrant. No problems whatsoever.
GREAT APP- THX
Looks really ugly. Less features than stock contacts. Don't waste your money.
Force close every time in droid incredible.
I'm very disappointed. The good thing is that it sorts by company. But the directory rows are way too narrow for a phone app and the contact picture does not appear in the directory. Each row should have the company name on top with person's name below -- these should not be inline.
except sorting by company takes forever.
Use daily
Bought a Verizon Galaxy S3 a few days ago and quickly found that my contacts did not list correctly. I have a bunch of business contacts and need to separate them from social contacts. I had a method that worked with Google Contacts - use the "file as" field, but this field is ignored by the stock S3 software. Hunted for 3 days, looking for a contact manager that would display by more than just first name or last name. Tried about 8 different possibilities, but they all either a) didn't really work (searching is not the same as sorting) or b) were huge programs that replaced contacts, dialers and messaging. ================= I just needed to be able to sort contacts on Display Name. YAY!! Better Contacts did that almost perfectly. (It actually uses a slightly different sort order for special characters - period, parens, pound and some others - than does Google, but I made it work.) Now my contacts sort correctly on the desktop and on the mobile. PROBLEM SOLVED. ================= Room for improvement: ability to slide up and down on the letters scale beside the contact entries. A minor thing.
This App solves the Google contacts biggest downfall... Being able to organize contacts by company! Now, if I could only have this on my PC also.
At last I can now sort my contacts properly by last name. Nice layout and colour scheme. I love it.
open the built in app and the name is long - too bad - all u get is first part. but open it w better contacts? ahhhh there it all is. SMART!
I sync with Exchange Server and want the ability to sort my contacts by company name. This is my personal and work phone so I have a mix of friends, famiily, and customers for contacts. Since half of my contacts are customers I prefer to have those display by company name. This app allows you to sort by first name, last name, company name, and display name. Sorting by company name hides all contacts that don't have a company name (i.e. friends and family)...so that doesn't help me. Sorting by display name shows them just like it would in Outlook - File As. So those with a company name display as "Company (LN, FN)" and all others display as "Full Name" (Perfect!) That's all I need, and I'll gladly pay $2.82 for this functionality (Why on earth Google STILL hasn't included this as part of the standard contacts app I have no idea) I only tested for 15 minutes in case I needed to return. It crashed once and I had to do a force close. Hopefully that's not a continuing problem. Aside from that it works great. My only suggestion might be to enlarge the rows slightly to minimize the possiblity of pressing on the wrong contact. Used on Evo Shift 4G (Android 2.3.3)
Very nicely done! Unfortunately I have so many contacts (750) that I spend too much time waiting for the app to 'refresh' each time I use it.
Fix laggy load time for five stars, no excuses for a slow app. Finally able to sort contacts by company name. Just what I was looking for once fixed.
Works really well. The only downside is that Compose Message doesn't use it - it reverts to using people.
Worked the first time I opened it, but now it just reports that apparently has stopped unexpectedly and requires me to close it. Samsung Epic.
Works great on my Evo. Almost did not download because of comments from other Evo owners.
Was working great, now not workning at all. I have to force close.
Does not work likely to un install says refreshing for too long!
Does not work have to force close everytime I open this app.
Excellent product.. wish could sort by 2 columns.. Like company then last name.
Good app. Only issue is how long it takes to refresh contacts when first opening.
Looks good, but seperates email addresses from contacts. Evo
Tends to split up a contacts info or entire contacts may be seen in default contacts but not in Best Contacts. Please correct for 5 stars. Droid X

It refreshes the contact list on open. I have 337 and it takes quit a long time to refresh and finish opening.
