- Content filters that automatically mark as read the items you're not interested in;
- Sort items by state (latest/unread/starred) or author;
- Smart algorithms that remove ads and other undesirable content from items;

Please remove from app store since no longer supported

Syncing still hangs at times but it's very usable. I would love to have widgets where I can view count of unread articles.

U70%
by U####:

So much better than any other Reader! I like Google Reader, but have been looking for an alternative for a long time... 'Press' stinks, but Flow Reader is awesome! Like the good, clean & simple look, swiping to next/prev message, how much of any message you get to read (w/o having to press 'read more', or such..) etc. - Love it!!!

C70%
by C####:

The only faults I have are no tablet ui and only being able to look at a root level feeds for unread. Still very good for a beta.

C70%
by C####:

I like it. It has a nice interface and seems easy to use. However the sync doesn't seem to work properly at the moment and the unread items counter shows up besides folders with no unread items.

S70%
by S####:

A couple of very minor usability points (and I do mean very minor). Otherwise it's the reader I have been waiting for

C70%
by C####:

Really promising start, the app really does flow, looks very polished too. Only reason I wouldn't drop feedly for this, is the lack of internal browser. Many sites only provide snippets in rss readers, so I prefer my reader to be able to handle that. Will keep an eye on this one. Many thanks

.. if, like everyone says, the sync will be faster & auto sync on startup would happen. More so would be tablet optimized. That would be so awesome

K70%
by K####:

1. I dont care about filters. 2. Need option to automatically make as read and gesture for sharing (e.g. instead of making read gesture). 3. After above - autosync after given period of time 4. Share button on top of article, not on the bottom - no need to scroll

One of the best readers, but it have some problems: – REALLY slow sync – It does not sync every news I have in my account (max 1000) – some bugs not marking news the news as read

K70%
by K####:

UI is stellar but that slow sync is getting worse and latest release crashes a lot...

K70%
by K####:

Update is extremely slow, and it doesn't even pull all of my unread articles. Sticking with gReader Pro.

E70%
by E####:

Simplified UI, minimalist design. Keep up great work!

K70%

I tried the email developer link for this feature request, but it bounced.... I'd love to have a dark theme option to help conserve battery on phones with those lovely large AMOLED screens.

Considering this is still in beta, it's definitely worthwhile to check out, but could use lots of improvements. I'm missing a few features like being able to add/remove subscriptions from the app. Grímur's review up there already covers most of the gripes I have. Also, I seem to have a bug where tapping on a subscription shows "no items", which makes this reader completely unusable for me at the moment, but as long as that's fixed eventually the app deserves a 4/5.

K70%
by K####:

I really like how smooth this app is, and it just seems to be snappier across the board in comparison to Google's own app. A couple if things to get it to 5 stars: 1. Sync in the background periodically 2. Enable more stories on the screen for tablets (my nexus 7 could probably show at least double what's on screen) 3. Allow for reading while syncing 4. Night mode Great first release! I'll definitely keep using it

K70%
by K####:

Really nice layout but for some reason the sync wasn't working properly for me. In some cases it showed unread items but there weren't any and in other cases there should have been unread items but there weren't. Have uninstalled for now but will reinstall after some of the bugs have been worked out.

this app is beautiful, with a nice clean functional interface and its smooth as hell. Probably one of the smoothest apps I have run. I had to check my phone just make sure it hadn't turned into some sort of other device because I'm to use to slow lagging freezing apps. That said there are few personal recommendations that could make this app better. -On the listing of feeds instead of showing total articles, it should show unread articles, both a number for unread and total or have an option somewhere. -Second, an option for hiding read articles when looking at a feed.

I've tried a lot of Google Reader apps but there were very few that i felt comfortable enough with for more than a few minutes. Either they always try to do way to much and end up being a bit to complex and difficult to use or they don't follow Android 4 UI standards and simply look terrible or out of place on ICS devices. However this app seems to have gotten most of it right. It is extremely easy to set up and it's really easy to use. It doesn't try to do too much but keeps things simple. I had really few problems with it considering it's still in BETA, my only gripe was that to mark items as unread you need to hold your finger on each item when i prefer doing a swipe. Not really a functional issue since it works just fine as it is more just my personal preference. My only real problem was that when it started up it took 4-5 minutes to sync my ~250 unread items and i had to wait the whole time before anything appeared on the screen, should display the items as they come instead of making us wait when syncing so many items. Since i only had one real issue with it I'm giving this app 4 stars!

This app is simple, but it mostly gets it right. It has a very nice interface, and good viewing performance. It does , however, need faster sync (or the ability to read during syncing. -- ie. in the background). Automatic sync on startup would also be nice.

K70%
by K####:

Coming from Newsrob, I am really pleased with the UI. It feels very nice and comfortable, and I am very happy to be able to see my starred items and tags. I love the listing by author! The major thing I don't like is the paged item list; I much prefer scrolling up and down to swiping left and right to the next page. It would be nice to be able to swipe right to get back to the subscription list, too. I am also seeing the "no items" bug Yuchen mentioned. The major feature I'd like to see added is the ability to tag posts.

X70%
by X####:

Excellent interface, but it is soooooo slowwww to update my subscriptions. For now i will continue to use Press

K70%
by K####:

I would prefer Google Reader because I can browse through my feeds with volume buttons and I don't have to press and hold to make my feed as read.

E70%
by E####:

Add support for directly saving to Pocket (read it later), and also reading from pocket reading list, and this app will replace 2-3 apps on my phone

B70%
by B####:

...and there are a few bugs to iron out but this is exactly what I want from a reader. Could do with faster sync, or in the background and perhaps an auto sync on a schedule, but I love it. Asus Transformer Prime

After sync app shows count of unread items, but there are no items to look at :/ HTC Desire Z with JellyBean 4.2.1

K70%
by K####:

At first I didn't see the point since I already have Google Reader. I'm glad I tried it. It's great!

K70%
by K####:

Slick and simple UI, and surprisingly stable for a beta release. Faster sync, ability to adjust article text size and ability to save cache to SD card would make this awesome. Also free with no ads is a big plus. Good work developer.

K70%
by K####:

I've tried almost every Google Reader app in the market and this is the first one to have all the features I want. Not only that, it just works! So well! The developer is incredibly responsive and helpful to boot! If this is the app in Beta... guys, we're in for a serious treat the more this gets polished.

R70%

Completely understand the developers decision to no longer support this application. Was a pretty good RSS reader, good luck with any apps you make in the future.

C70%

Downloaded the app only to open it and be told it no longer works.. Remove it from the store then??

It's useless without a scrolling widget!

W70%
by W####:

Good app love it

C70%
by C####:

Quite fast, +1 for multithreaded download (still need to optimize) cons: waste of screen real estate in thread view (4 articles/page with a LOT of white space), article count not updated properly

U70%
by U####:

It's a really well made app. I recommend anyone who is currently using stock greader to try it. Well done! Edit: The dev keeps improving it and I couldn't be happier. Changed to five stars. Latest release has worked without any problems at all so far.

C70%
by C####:

But it's killing my battery. I'll keep it for now, but probably won't be able to use it. Shame.

U70%
by U####:

Where to start, doesnt download articles in background so you have to wait everytime you open it, 'mark as read' marks EVERYTHING as read, article counts are incorrect. Oh well...

L70%
by L####:

Still have some bugs and sync takes a while, but by far the best reader for the RSS on the phone.
