About Panoramic Screenshot

Have you ever run into this case, in which you have an app with a long, long list, and you want to take a screenshot to wrap the whole list in?

Here comes the solution. This app, Panoramic Screenshot, is a tool that can merge several screenshots into one long picture based on analyzing there common parts. So is to say, using this app, you can do a panoramic screenshot with a sequence of screenshots of a continous list.

Panoramic Screenshot works by automatically detecting changes in the system's screenshot directory. To make a panoramic shot, just start this app, click on the '+' button, and then go to the target app, take several screenshots while scrolling.

If your phone is running a ROM that its screenshot directory is not at /sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots, please choose the correct path in the Settings screen of this app.

This app requires that the top part (below statusbar) and the bottom bar (if any) in the shots should be the same without huge changes. Statusbar is automatically detected based on the system it is running on.

Notice that you MUST keep a visible (neither too large nor too small) common part between two screenshots, or the app will not work correctly. It cannot handle scrollbars for now, so make sure the scrollbar is hidden when screenshooting.

For more details about how-tos, please refer to the About screen in this app.

The algorithm still needs improvements. Advises and contributions are always welcome.

Can you improve this app by adding more feature to it? Like "auto scrolling capture" like the Galaxy N5 do..

N70%
by N####:

It doesn't detect the screenshots, so it can't create that advertised panoramic screenshot.

Moto G turbo running Marshmallow 6.0, after pressing + it brings me to home and doesn't recognise the first or second screenshot... There's issue with the directories, this phone uses emulated storage

N70%
by N####:

Doesn't even appear in Settings, as suggested remedy recommends, & no images appear, when screen shots are taken, on Android 5.1

U70%
by U####:

Just like the many other complaints. Stuck on the first screenshot. Won't recognize after it's been taken. Jerk app.

Z70%
by Z####:

I like your concept and it would be way more useful thanks for the support for those in need lel.. I'll be waiting for some good updates

N70%
by N####:

Doesn't work. Not detects the screenshot I take.

Q70%
by Q####:

Does what it says. Didn't encounter any problem about being stuck at the first screenshot.... One thing they need to work on is matching the edges of the screenshots. Some of the chat bubbles are cut off! Also, I don't really get what matching threshold is.... Hope the description will be more understandable. But overall great job!

U70%
by U####:

The app won't get past asking for the first screenshot. It doesn't detect a screenshot being taken, so it's just stuck. It should let me just import images into it.

O70%
by O####:

I may just need to play with settings, but so far it just seems like it takes your screenshots and smacks them on top of each other. Doesn't really blend, it isn't smooth.

U70%
by U####:

at first it was a very good app for a long time but then it stopped working suddenly ( it doesn't recognize that I'm taking a screenshot) I don't exactly remember whether it stopped before or after I upgraded my phone to marshmallow

A70%
by A####:

It didn't recognize the part in common. If it didn't work correctly on the crop, i can see no reason to use it.

U70%

Doesn't even appear in Settings, as suggested remedy recommends, & no images appear, when screen shots are taken, on Android 5.1

Fails to match up pictures every time, no matter how you tweak the settings.

U70%

Turn on the app, take screen shots as usual and go to app then get it merged. Really useful to get a complete article in one picture. Thank you developers! :)

I'm running a meizu mx4 and for some reason it doesn't recognize I'm taking screenshots, remaining stuck at "Now, please capture the first screenshot." And yes, I've checked the directory.

Z70%
by Z####:

User need some understanding on how it works.. There is a scope for improvement.. Best part of it is, merged image have very good resolution.

Z70%
by Z####:

Doesn't works... It needs support from many apps... Which I think is a stupid idea as with the release later android version we may see this feature as native rather than through app

Z70%
by Z####:

wish it works just like the scroll capture feature in the note 5

Excellent app and easy to use
