MTA Bus Time

I like this app, however if I would suggest one improvement that it really needs, is a slightly larger or bold font. I can see the route and direction fine, but it's almost impossible to see details about the arrival time and distance of the bus. Isn't that the whole point of using the app. My phone has a 3.8 inch screen and the tiny font makes the app almost impossible to use on the street.

The location tracking is pretty decent but the app has continuous connectivity issue. I find myself having to repeatedly swipe the screen, often having to make 3+ attempt before getting the times to pull up. When your bus runs infrequently, it's yet another challenge in dealing with the MTA.

Doesnt work or provide bus times. Please ban it from the Play store. MTA itself needs to be improved about 60/40 with accuracy. How can the same bus be 3 mins away, then 7, then 5 all in 10 min..Why does going .3 of a mile take 3 mins. And what does "at terminal" mean the buses departs in 10 min? MTA should stop over charging for lease services.

This app is inaccurate when it matters. I miss my bus a lot because of the fact that it will tell me the bus is a certain amount of time away and when I go to catch the bus it's already gone. I can't use location services on this app on my s8 and I constantly have to check where the bus is or else I will miss it. The actual bus can be 5 minutes away and sometimes it won't even show up.

I have relied on this app for years on the iOS version and now that I've switched to an LG G6 it's not working at all. It will not allow me to set location permissions and it won't work without location permissions. I doubt the MTA is paying attention to this.

Very very inaccurate. Told me the bus was 10 minutes away, when the bus actually arrived at the stop in about 30 seconds. What nonsense. Plus, I can't add favorites. Uninstalled asap.

The app does NOT work at the beginning of the line s City Hall. At the 1st Stop (Park Row/St. James) the app NEVER shows time bus has left City Hall - or consistently shows .1/2 mile away - and then arrives 12-20 minutes later. DISGRACEFUL it cannot even begin PROPERLY.

Doesn't ask for any permissions so you cannot give it location access. The UI does not make sense since it might show a bus 2 stops away first, a bus 1 stop second and the third bus would be 2.7 miles away. It seems they pushed an update unintentionally and it stripped functions rather than fixed anything. I recommend just using the mobile web site as it's leaps and bounds better to use.

MTA bus tim ' this app doesn't remember please make not this app work without an internet connection even if this means that live times are not available. I often use this app on the subway to flgure out which stop to get off at in order to transfer a buz

This app didn't connect with my GPS. Couldn't find me on a map to save its life. Also I don't need to know my bus is 1.4 miles away I need to know how far it is in minutes. Another hit from MTA.

Why have an app for bus times if theyre going to be terribly inaccurate. I missed a bus because nothing showed up on the app and when a scbeduled bus did, it kept saying 12 minutes away for 20 minutes.

This app has always worked for me. I love it and I always used it, before I bought a car. It was hilarious to see so many idiots in the middle of the street and I'm like "it's 5 minutes away" and they look at me like I'm crazy.

MTA bus time-i have tried again and again for my location. but this app cant get my exact location. even sometime it has connection issue.so using this this app means wasting time.

I don't understand what the other people are going through because for every problem they have, it works on my end. I'm able to favorite my most used stops, the map shows the buses' locations. Yes, some of the buses are not 100% accurate but hey, we live in NYC and there's traffic everywhere. This app has not failed me, nor did their web page version.

Convenient and accurate. Use it every day to find out when the next bus is coming. I probably wouldn't use it to get directions though; that's what Google Maps is for ;) Would love to have the ability to label favorites with custom names.

This app would be useful if it used your location, but it doesn't. When you ask for nearby stops it says "cannot access your position, check if location is enabled" but the app doesn't request permission for your location.

Good information, but bad implementation. Buggy, often drops connections or forgets your settings. Tells you there's a problem with your connection, but really the app can't app properly.

App no longer accesses GPS so only works if I type in the cross streets. Very inconvenient.

The app no longer allows me to refresh to see updated times. I have to close the app entirely. And I can't view my favorites on the first try. I have to click favorites, go back to search, then favorites again. Not sure why it got worse! UPDATE MARCH 2017: The app is great! no bugs. No delays. Always accurate. Makes taking the bus a dream.

I am disappointed that express buses aren't tracked until they are about to arrive. They don't run often on weekends and it impossible to get timely information on routes with frequent detours and cancellations. I'd like to have enough information to decide whether to wait for the bus or figure out an alternative way to travel.

It keeps saying it can't find my location but other apps use GPS fine. Couldn't figure out how to "favorite" a stop. Website is better.

this app does not work. it tries to access GPS in order to locate nearby routes, but can't ever seem to do so. it's completely broken and worthless.

This app is at the same quality level as the MTA as a whole. Pure trash. Don't download this. Just a waste of data and storage.

This app is totally unreliable. It'll show my bus as one stop away and then it'll disappear and no bus comes. It'll show my bus as three stops away...for twenty minutes. I'm sure some of that is attributable to the unreliability of MTA busses in general but still.

MTA Bus Time app is a very bad app.This app doesn't work at the beginning of the lines city hall. This app is one of the lament app you will see. So, everybody must ignore it.

If you type in an exact cross street, you can select the bus line and stop (assuming you know it!). It no longer allows favorites to be added and the "nearby" functionality doesn't work. This app is better than nothing, though.

Even after the current update it still says "cannot access your position, check if location is enabled" whenever the app needs to use location for the map or when the nearby button is pushed even though my location settings are enabled. Please go back to the previous version!!!!!

Need to fix, not working properly. Has not been showing the location of the bus, and the "map" is not zoomed in, it is completely zoomed out into a map of the country :( it used to work so well, 1 star until fixed

I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016). This application does not see my phones' GPS enabled. I am not saying this app is bad, it just does not work with my phone. Others seem to like it. An application for the same critical functions is 'NYC Bus Map'. I have tested it around my neighborhood and seems to be moderately accurate.

Keep getting Cant access location alert even tho I know GPS is on. And other apps find my location fine. This needs to me fixed already because in reading reviews I see I'm not the only one with this problem.

Honestly the website works better for some reason unknown to me even with my location on [i triple checked] this app keeps telling to turn my location on when trying to use the nearby feature.

I liked knowing where the bus was and how long it was going to take (by minutes). This new version only let's me view how far in miles...it's useless

I don't like how does it tells you when the next bus is coming. The layout of this app as compared to the previous version is very unappealing. I would rather go to the MTA website and use the MTA bus time Tracker on there instead of the app.

Even after an update it tells me to check my Internet connection. It needs to check it's own Internet connection. Mostly useless now.

From what I can see so far, compared to previous versions, this one actually works fine. The favourites tab finally works, material design makeover is nice and simple. Great job. Now please.....don't ruin it now that you finally got it right.
