About My IBS Diary

If you suffer from IBS, you know how badly it can affect your quality of life. While there is no miracle cure to irritable bowel disease, keeping track of your symptoms is a useful way of dealing with it and keeping you from feeling that you have lost control of the illness.

My IBS Diary is a food and symptoms diary that helps you track the type and intensity of your symptoms, your eating habits, bowel movements, mood and events that may affect you. Using My IBS Diary on a daily basis will let you remember exactly how you were feeling at any given moment, what you had been eating that day, and when you went to the toilet, which helps greatly when talking to your doctor, and gives you clues about which foods may trigger which symptoms.

Features:
• A straightforward interface: adding entries to the diary is so easy you will never feel lazy about keeping it up-to-date. Additionally, My IBS Diary remembers which food you have taken in the past and helps you by autocompleting food entries.
• Keep track of what you eat, how you feel, your visits to the toilet, and the medication you take.
• Create reports and print them from your computer. Useful when talking to your doctor.
• Password protection: if you choose so, you may protect access to your diary, so only you can read and write entries
• Discreet appearance: neither the icon nor application title will catch the attention of unwanted eyes.
• Personal diary: keep notes about anything you think might be useful – stressful events, detailed notes about how you were feeling that day...
• Easy navigation: jump to any date with just a few taps and review any day in the past.

† Refund policy: if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us first to see if we can help you in any way. If this is not enough, you may ask for a refund for the full price of the app within 15 days of the purchase date.
‡ Usage note: the BM abbreviation stands for “bowel movement”.

It is much simpler than the apps designed to help keep track of calories and this is a very good thing. It is very easy to use. My only gripe is that when you put in a 'feeling' the default is set at 'not at all' which is stupid. It would be better to set the default at 'slight' or to remove the 'not at all' option completely. If you aren't having a symptom just don't put it in! But a great little app.

I've been using this app since May 2013; meets my needs. The developer is responsive and open to suggestions.

How do I print out a report? Nice that it has a money back guarantee!

I was wondering if added functions would be possible- food having a direct link to pains and whatnot, as well as allowing users to add specific pains not already on the list. I often have stabbing pains, not cramping, bloat, or gas. Also, having a location for pains would be helpful for my GI doctors to help pinpoint things.

This is a great app. Easy to use to track my symptoms, and I've been using it for three months. I was not able to export data from 2014, so I had to go to my GI specialist appointment WITHOUT the data I had intended on giving him. I contacted the developer, who told me that in order to export the previous year's data, I would need to change the date on my phone to the previous year. This method did work, though I don't think I should have had to contact the developer in order to find out how to export my data. I feel that I should not have had to change the system date on my phone in order to export the data, and if this issue is fixed, I'll amend my review further.

Great app for logging your day. Easy to use and quick! Thanks!

App gets easier to use with a little time as it remembers a lot of key words. Also takes a little time to learn its flow. Could be better to alow user defined "feeling" choices like exhausted, etc... I'll look for updates. As most probably know, IBS or similar problem is not fun. I think this app will help me and my docs. THANK YOU!

I like the ap I've only been using it 2 days I think it should have either pain as a mood/discomfort or you should be able to add your own mood/discomfort because pain is one of my major discomforts and cramp is a different symptom so doesn't cover it.

I've been using the IBS Diary over a year to track flares. It is simple & quick and provides information that can be provided to a medical provider. There are more complicated apps available but this is exactly what I need right now. I would add "pain" and "sick" to the drop-down Feeling list, however.

Needs charts and stats. At the end of the month or year and see how it was without having to jump time to a specific date. Also tips and an over view of trends and patterns of reoccurring symptoms.

After paying for this app I expected a dashboard of some kind where I could compare days. The only way of doing this is by exporting a cvs file. Much better free apps that do it much better

Love this app. So easy to use. Adding data is fast. As others have said, we need a way to spot patterns in the data. Then will be 5*!

Not happy with the app and had to look for another. The app was simple and easy to use, but when i tried to edit past entries it would not keep the changes. When trying to look at psst entries the "GO TO" button would not work, but "JUMP" would...not sure what the difference is supposef to be. I also had more than one entry for a day, making it confusing when looking at past entries. Sometimes it would look like the entire day was blank, bugt if i scrolled over then another page with my info would appear....confusing. i also found myself wishing my info had been graphed somehow so that i could have an overall look at my information. I seldom pay for an app...i wish i hadn't paid for this one. It needs some bug fixes and updates to keep up with the other available apps...also, a "lite" free or demo version would have been nice and saved me a buck...:/

You guys have done a decent job at this app but you need a few things: ~ Most important is you need an overview/summary page so that all the info can be viewed. export to csv is awesome though! Include say a graph of most eaten food, a monthly view with each day coloured in to represent symptoms (i.e red being a bad day, green being good) ~Work on the UI a bit more. Notes takes up a massive section of the screen when it doesnt have to. ~ Have a dictionary of food so that I dont have to type it all out. Giving it a 2.5 because it needs more work. 3 = summary page. 4= new UI 5 = graphing feature + correlation of symptoms to foods. Keep at it!

This is a good app but I would like to be able to add my own custom feelings to the list and add time stamps to my notes. Sometimes I get cramps but they'll last a few hours and it's hard to tell with the current system.

Just learned today I have this disorder. I suggest adding fatigue or energy level to charting. Add a separate section for which doctors were seen with ability too put address and number. Add a section where all meds being taken are listed. Hope to see progression with ap. Registered nurse user.

This is a great app. It would be better if you could edit the Bristol scale with an "other" choice as well. Stress also causes the intestines to constrict which causes stools to become thin and hard to pass.

Entering information is easy, but I wish there was a way to view all three categories ( BM, Food, and Feeling) on one timeline along with each individual one. This would make finding patterns much easier.

I love that the icon is called today, and not anything to do with IBS. I don't like the font, but that's a personal preference. I love that I can share a record of my symptoms with my doctor. Great app!

However changing the Time is extremely difficult. Hard to rotate dial. Also just a suggestion, when selecting dates to go back to you should be able to use an actual calendar view. Would also be great if you could cross reference a certain food and see what symptoms occurred in the pass. Thanks
