EBPocket is dictionary viewer for EPWING standard.
It is also possible to search for StarDict, Mdict dictionary.
EPWING is one of the most common dictionary standard in Japan.
EBPocket Free can perform a variety of search methods,
for example, incremental search, prefix search and suffix search.
And, also supported on the images and sound.
EBPocket does not have a built-in dictionary. Please prepare a dictionary yourself.

After upgrading to Android 6, the dictionaries folder keep getting deleted. I suspect this app doesn't properly handle file paths on Android 6, and mistakenly deleted the directory.

Probably the best Japanese dictionary viewer on android. Only problem i have is that there is no word search history, compared to the pc version.

Not much improvement in funcionality, only the bottom of the screen is unnecessarily occupied by two icons, and the ad above the search box just too easy to mistap on, which is super annoying (can be blocked using a firewall though). My advice: stick with 1.13.5 or switch to another viewer.

HTC Desire and HTC Sensaton XE ver 4.0 are able to use NHK dictionary pronounciation, but HTC Sensation XE ver 2.3 and Samsung Galaxy S III cannot use NHK dictionary pronounciation. No sound can be heard when pressed.

他のアプリでは読み込まなかった辞書が、このアプリでは読み込めた。操作性もよく、使いやすい。海外でオフラインの状況でも使えて、オススメです。

Compared to WM EBPocket (using it 5+ years) the android EB Pocket has less features and several usability issues: * Selection of a specific dictionary search/all dictionaries search is awkward * no search history, old search phrases have to be manually deleted * no select-copy, etc * the professional version boasting all features is however available for only selected regions
