About Web Page Reader Paid Ver.

Web Page Reader is an easy-to-use voice browser.
The browser reads the web page by Text-to-Speech(TTS) voice.
The current reading position is highlighted, so you can easily follow text.

This app is useful if you
- feel difficulty in reading web pages as cell-phone display is small.
- study foreign language by hearing foreign voice.
- let the app read online novels by voice.
- access the internet while walking.

There is also Free (with Ads) version.

Compared with Free version, Paid version has the following features.
* Ads are not displayed.
* The screen orientation can be vertical or horizontal.
* The app keeps reading after another app becomes active or the monitor turns off.
* The web page can be saved as a text file, so you can read it offline.
* Do not speak the user specified letters such as vertical bars(|) and brackets([]).
* Split text into sentences. This makes the speech fluent if text contains many links like Wikipedia text.
* Image loading can be disabled, so speed up page loading and reduce network cost.

This app uses READ PHONE STATE permission to stop reading when the phone is ringing.

Much better than Apple is since you don't have to drag finger over several pages just to highlight texts for Apple to read. Too much time and inconvenience. web Page Reader reads the entire page with a single click. Would have given this 5 star if it could read comment section of ESPN and Bleacher Report outloud. Please fix this! . I like reading (listening) to other comments.

Why can't the App adapt to both Verticle "AND" Horizontal settings? Also, my preferred TTS Apps function erratically & don't always allow me to use these pre-configured programs. I often get some type of low quality, weird speech synthesized generated voice from who knows where (..?...), which is utterly irritating! (I've a rooted device will all other tts & stt software completely removed and my software properly functions everywhere else), so where does that come from? I can, of course, highlight, copy and paste the text to my tts programs, but that negates the use of this App. It is, indeed, still a Good App, but more options to configure this program would punch it right through the roof.! Only speaks German. badly. Changing voices in Android doesn't fix it. Why do I pay for a broken app ?

This is the best of it's kind! It's just nearly the only 1 of its kind! Have your web pages read to you! I use it with ivona. Paragraph selection is super!

Used to work so well. Now it reads one or two paragraphs and you have to pause the program and select the next chapter to read. Very very annoying.

I like the concept but this app Has a Glitch you can be listening to a page and suddenly it will lose its place and reset and you have to copy and paste your url as well as find wherever you were on the page which kind of makes it difficult when it happens 456 X in one document

Great app and really like the offline reading feature. Any way of moving the "offline" button to the front for us paid users? Kudos to the developer.

Fantastic app read web pages when I'm too lazy to read or plane just don't have the time I can listen them

So if u stop, u may have to read most of a par again - waste of precious time. Also, speed changer is too inaccessible. Be great if it could remember my spot if I close and re-open the app. That would be useful for reading long articles over several sessions - like for my online college course (whose pages I have saved locally). When I first bought this app with my other phone I had a settings button on the HTC 4G 3d phone and I could get into settings however, now that I am using a different phone I cannot get into settings with only two buttons on the front and there is no settings icon on the screen of the app. I keep writing to them over and over asking them to put the Settings icon on the screen and, they don't care to respond. I'll give the 5 stars if they respond to my messages and put a Settings icon the screen.

No support or updates for paid for app. Not cool. I have several issues where the problem will randomly shut down. Also because the address bar doesn't scroll with the rest of the page, I've got some screen/pixel burn right there! Not happy.

I took off 1 star as the paid version wont automaticly scroll & read to the next paragraph. Have to pust next paragtaph then press play twice for it to start reading. Free version works fine. Awesome to lay in bed all tucked in the blankets & have web pagers read out to you. I would also recommend purchasing TTS voices from IVONA on Google play store, as they add a more easy-to-understand & realistic voice synthesis :)
