Find my Droid is an app that helps you in finding your phone even if it is on silent profile. Find my Droid switches your lost phones profile from silent to ring with just one message from any of the four registered numbers in the app. Your lost phone starts ringing loudly when the message is received by the phone. Find my Droid also sends an acknowledgement to the device from the lost phone that the message is received and the phone has started ringing.

HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE BETTER THAN THE GOOGLE VERSION. ONCE I'VE NEEDED TO ACTUALLY USE IT THEN I CAN DO A MORE DETAILED HONEST REVIEW. BUT 4 NOW THIS IS WHY I'M SLAGGIN OFF THE ANDROID DEVICE MANAGER BY GOOGLE......... I'd been using (previously known) Android Device Manager, Until last night when my old LG Spree mobile (now gifted to my friend) went walkies I thought WAHAY no biggies I'll track it on the android device manager app But no way hosay it wasn't happenin And to add insult to injury once found in the bloody bathroom, Location was on GPS on everything ON. The app should have found it My Samsung was located in my hands.so why the heck couldn't the potentially stolen one be located?

Doesn't work. Had my phone on silent and texted from a registered number to test it. I received the text but it never started ringing.
