Lightning Trigger™ App for Android
Worked just like it said it would. The camera would fire for even the CC flashes as well as CG that weren't in the cameras view. Well worth the money. :-)
Downloaded and tested the apps but could not see the photos after capture. It just kept crashing!
Last night I could see lightning flashes (the diffuse type, not bolts) on my S4's LCD, but the shutter didn't activate. No pictures, even though the flashes were quite bright on the LCD.
App is bad on S5
When you attempt to view taken photos it force closes everytime.
No ongoing development or support.
if it crashes on you turn on your auto rotate. That fixed the crashing problem on my phone. The pictures it took were very disappointing though. While my ipod caught over 200 pics, this app only caught 4 and there wasn't even any lightning in them.
Still not working on 4.4 or l dev preview.
Works perfect on Samsung S4 and Sony Xperia 2 tab.
Just downloaded the app onto my HTC One (Android 4.1.2), and the best performance experienced so far is random pics (sensitivity too high?) and a 2-3 second delay in response to a very bright bolt in view. A check of the pictures taken nets zero capture of any lightning bolts or flashes.
I hate it when I have my camera pointed in one direction and a gigantic bolt strikes in the opposite direction but thanks to the Lightning Trigger App I can have both areas covered! It's also great for sharing awesome lightning photos via Twitter or Facebook when it happens instead of waiting to get home to process photos. Marcelo Albuquerque @COSpotter_MJA
This app works better than I expected in capturing individual Lightning Bolts in any lighting. The only problem is on occasion the app will stop working. Granted, this mainly happens when I initially load the app or try to open one of my two galleries.

I bought this app last night when our Monsoon was rolling through and I had it set to 10, it took about 6 pictures and every single one of them was black. Even when taking the pix myself, I do a bit better than that. Wish I wouldn't have paid that much. :(

Poor quality pictures I am so sorry that I paid for it
The application does not trigger with lightning. There was several nice and bright lightning bolts, but no image was taken. Then it triggered few times with no lightning. I tried several settings, most of the time 10.
Very disappointed with this app. Compared to similar iPhone apps this is a poor gimmick and a waste of money. It picks up a street light but not a full blown electrical storm....
Do not confuse the android app with anything that Rich Davis is selling. This is a different company that produced this and is selling it. Rich is a professional and his product is outstanding. As for the app, I only got to try it once and it never captured lightning that was in front of me. My phone quit and even though I bought the same exact phone and used my SD card from the old phone, the app will not work at all. I contacted Aman Jain by email about this and I would have to repurchase the app for the replacement phone. I think I will just download one of the free apps that are on the internet. Rich stands behind everything he does, but apparently pixeltech is not worried about repeat customers or recommendations from users. Paul Evans-Missouri
Samsung Galaxy note 2 not any luck first time, but waiting for another chance for this app, not many thunder storms in Helsinki Finland unless they cross from Russia or Estonia, and don't lose energy over the Baltic sea. perhaps little information on sensitivity slider ,,,, ie 1 very sensitive or not sensitive
not work on Asus ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T
