CGPA CALCULATOR: This is an app designed for calculating CGPA of a student in the most hassle free and convenient manner. This app can be used by any engineering student in India irrespective of the branch he or she is in and irrespective of the number of subjects and credits related to it. You can calculate the CGPA of your semester in seconds. For now this acts as an extremely hassle free and convenient CGPA calculator. How it works: • The first row of buttons contains the credits section wherein the user enters the credit of the subject under consideration. As of now only 6 credits have been provided but it is soon to change in the coming versions where the user can enter higher number of credits. • The second row of buttons contains the grades section wherein the user enters the expected grade he or she might get for the subject being reviewed. • As soon as the grade and credits for the first subject is entered, the user can proceed to enter the same for the 2nd subject. This can be continued for how many ever subjects that there is in the semester. • After entering the required credentials for all the subjects that there is in the semester, the ‘Get CGPA’ button yields the resultant CGPA of the student. The formula used is as stated by the VTU. The formula being: CGPA=( Sum of the product of credits and expected grade of each subject)/Total number of credits of all the subject combined. • The Refresh button is provided for starting the calculation all over again from first whenever the user wants to. • The user can save this result by pressing the save button. • ‘My CGPA’ button contains all the previously saved results of the user. One can view the detailed report by long pressing the result item.
