About IM Alarm

IM Alarm is an alarm service for important messages. The application notifies you with an alarm when one or more new messages are published in the RSS channels that you have added. You can filter messages by adding specific words for an RSS channel.

You can choose between four different alarm types when new message is published, the fourth option means that no alarm is created. You can also set a maximum limit for the age of the messages that should be imported and retained when clearing out old messages.

The main purpose of this application is to be a warning system for important messages to the public and SOS Alarm, but the application can also be used as an RSS reader.

Thanks for the app. The settings and dialogs are a bit spartan, but it does precisely what it says. My main problem, however, and the reason why I may not use it after all is that it took about half an hour for the app to notice a new feed entry. Since I want to use it to wake me on time-critical news, that’s much too long. Could you make the interval configurable, so that I can set it to values in the area of one to five minutes? I’d also need a feature to quickly activate and deactivate the alarm, so I can stop the fetching when I’m not within range of my wifi or don’t want to be waked. Many thanks!
