About FreeFood
Imagine you are a student, you just KNOW there is a lot of food at the campus. Leftovers from important meetings, for example. Wouldn't it be nice to have a notification about this food?
Wasn't it nice if, for instance, you got back from a business trip into your office, and instead of posting to everyone "Chocolate in my cubicle" without knowing who actually noted that, just share the info with a one simple button press?
Or, for example, if you own a pizza stall. Every day at 10pm you close your stall and go home, throwing away 3 to 8 slices of pizza that we'rent sold. Isn't it a shame? think what would happen if you were able to shout to the world "I have 3 last slices and I want to go home! the first 3 people to get here will have those slices half-priced!"
Sounds nice, doesn't it?
At free food, you can do all of that and more! you can share food with other people, and receive notifications from other people in order to find some nice food around :)
Notice: the app was build to be mainly background-ish. After two minutes you will explore mostly everything FreeFood has to offer [if you are bored check the refresh buttons ;) ]. The real power of FreeFood comes with the notifications, mostly notifications for some very limited time-window, so make sure to let the app run in the background! It was designed to be lightweight exactly for that.
So what are you waiting for? Download FreeFood and start searching around!
The app wouldn't get so far without the huge contribute of Elyasaf Cohen, Orr paradise and Noam wies.
Thanks for everything! May the bugs will run from your programs, like hobbits that just heard about some free food nearby.
