...But on my Experia Z1 it's just a pain. Have to go into Web browser, look up exact addresses (even for major chain restaurants) and copy paste it into the apps map.

Does the job but you can only set the distance from your destination to be alerted in whole km, can't change the alert sound/type and it often doesn't show my approximate location even when Google maps would.

I usually sleep on travel....and occasionally don't even wake up even if the stop is passed... I just tried this and i liked its functionality...

Not bad. The searching is garbage and the app doesn't show you your approx location, but it worked for me (Galaxy 6 Edge). Eats battery life.
