Irish Times ePaper for Android
Great content, terrible app. I have used this app for a few years now and use it every day. I don't think I ever had a single edition of the paper where there weren't several faults in the app, for example photographs not showing, whole stories not showing, only a few lines of an article present, etc.
Very very disappointed that I can't do the crossword on my android tablet. I don't have access to a PC.
Android version crashes every time, so I have never successfully downloaded an edition on my phone.
Can't log in on my Android device. V disappointing. Will not be renewing subscription
Brilliant app
i bough the new microsoft surfacbook and I cant down load the Irish Times APp or the E-Newspaper and that was one of the main reasons I bough the 2-in-1 - gutted!!!
App works well for general reading but alas when you want to do crosswords the times shows it is only interested in apple users as it does not support android. will review subscription at end of month
It's great on my tablet, phone or pc I get a brief view of the paper headings on each page then zoom in to what I am interested in reading super job Irish times. In the morning connect my tablet to WiFi, download the paper and read when it suits me on the bus, waiting for appointments, really handy. happy punter
Can log in to website version on a web browser, though the website seems to think about it a bit before it displays 'Welcome', but cannot log in to ePaper app at all on phones or tablet. It displays "Login error - Incorrect email or password" even though same details work on devices' mobile browsers.
New subscriber - a bit disappointed initially (that I can't do the crossword using the App) but the more I use it the more I can recommend it.
I have a paid digital subscription and I cannot login. Very irritating
Working really well for me, great to read on my phone
Seriously disappointed
Slow, clunky, prone to crashes. PressReader is a far better option.
Would be excellent but crashes continually for me... after device restart it often needs to be ununstalled/reinstalled before it will launch. Apart from stability issues it's great, but those are very frustrating!
Just subscribed and I cannot look at previous issues. Looks like an IOS app. Very bad design. Needs to be rewritten as a proper android app. Says login and the logout button is displayed. Maybe it is because I am already logged in. Sorry, but as an android app developer myself I have to say that this is a bit of a fail.
Doesn't work since upgrade to Marshmallow. Opens and immediately navigates to a screen with a dead icon in top left corner.
Occasional stops preventing access make it frustrating sometimes.
I am in France on holidays and have downloaded the Irish Times Android app. It is hopeless! I have not yet had a proper read of the digital IT
It's not free
Performance is sluggish and often unresponsive even on a high end Android handset. When reading an article it often pops back out to the full page view. After 5 mins of use it completely stopped for a full 30 seconds then started going again. At this point I uninstalled and cancelled my free digital subscription trial
Take app away, its not worth paying for
Not even a one day trial ..serious misleading ..
Great replica of the print paper in terms of both readability and usability. Good work by developers in promptly sorting out issues re: Android 5.0
Each headline is obscured by a blue tab that says 'read'. How do I know if I want to read an article if the title is covered?
Doesn't open with lollipop. Update: app works fine again with latest update.
Offers little more than the website. You can see the page but have to press read for the article and then just read it in a Web browser format and cannot zoom in on pictures etc. Why is it not in pdf format.
Why offer a free app and then when you go and try to use it they ask for money!
that analyze
Thanks for fixing the bug that prevented individual stories being read. It would also be good to have a 'share' button, even though a subscription is required.
Smooth and exact user experience. Stable and consistent. What an epaper app should be. Q
marvellous way to keep up to date with all things at home - ideal for expats

App crashes every time use back button to leave current edition to view another. Scrolling in an open story appalling. App didn't like that I had a password with special, non-alpha-numeric characters in it. The password worked fine on IT website. Now I've changed to simple password I can use on phone/tablet. App is frustrating if a story is open - if, having read some of article, the screen is rotated (or goes off and is woken again) it goes back to start of article again.
