Project Syria: An Immersive Experience of Child Refugees” uses virtual reality to transport its audience into the ongoing Syrian civil war. More than a third of Syrians have been displaced by this war, including more than a million young Syrian refugees largely under the age of eleven. Employing the concept of immersive journalism and the use of cutting-edge virtual reality technologies to re-create the experience of situations covered by news reports. "Project Syria” places the user amid the conflict from the perspective of Syrian children.
