iSmartAlarm for Android
The cameras are ok & the app is ok but not if you're an android user. Contacted tech support to be told that if I wanted to sync my camera to my router I'd have to borrow an iPhone to do so....what the..... If I'd have wanted an inferior phone & OS then iPhone all the way but I have an android, sort it out.
I've had this for about 2 years, and the alarm itself works well but the app still feels very first generation. It could use some serious enhancements to improve usability and it's still fairly buggy. I would have hoped to see a faster evolution with time. The app takes a long time to load, and often shows a full page ad or an update notice that you can't close without going to the app store. And when you're standing outside your apartment with hands full of groceries, it'll make you want to scream. Support seems overwhelmed. They answer questions with questions, often asking for info you've already provided. Typical startup growing pains but it is getting old.
Looks a bit silly (proportion wise) on my note 8 and tends to lock up and become unresponsive when trying to set and disarm alarm. I never had such issues with the IOS variant.
Freezes and crashes occasionally, no widget or ongoing notification or anything to make arming and disarming more convenient. Why don't activity notifications take you to the activity detail? Spot cameras have very low speaker volume. Overall system has some promise, but frustrating to use.
App bugged, can't even unlock my own house alarm. Take your money elsewhere, don't waste it like I did.
Hardware is unreliable and not worthy of a true home protection system. Support says they will answer your complaint after engineers investigate and never respond.
Buggy app won't let me Arm the cameras when I'm not home. That's the entire point of having them. If customer service were decent, I'd leave a better review, but it's been an entire month since I requested a "48 hour" support ticket and I've heard nothing. Don't bother with this company.
Not too bad. I bought this while ago thinking outdoor camera will be out soon. I was wrong. I need camera for outside and thinking about getting ring.
This really is an awful product... would love to get my money back for a useless camera. Do you not understand that having as many 1 star reviews as you do means you need to hire a programmer? Junk...
An awful lot wrong here. Full screen ads trying to sell you additional hardware while you're trying to secure your home. No way to independently control text msgs, emails, voice-calls, app notifications, siren alarms, siren chirps. Unclear buttons with text descriptions underneath that are even more unclear. When you first launch the app it randomly bounces around between 'armed, disarmed, and home" ... over and over again... even if you don't hit any of the buttons. Why? The hardware remotes are very poorly designed. Button icons are all upside down (based on the printing on the remote) and very small. They could easily be twice as big. Plus they're impossible to see because they're printed in white on a white background. Ugh. The voice-call you'll get is from some childish sounding male voice instead of a hired speaker. Sounds very unprofessional. The "arming delay" cannot be set between 1 and 30 seconds as we need. Constant spam emails from a company called "constant contact" c/o iSmartAlarm. Ugh.
WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS PRODUCT UNTIL APP IS UPDATED. App is terrible. It usually takes multiple tries to arm the system, like 3+ minutes of trying.. app just hangs there loading then nothing. Very frustrating.
Hardware ok. App is horrible. You have to kill it after arm/disarm or next time will take a minute to work. When arming, icon stays unarmed for 30secs, even if house is armed. When fails to arm (ie router is off) there is no message, you leave thinking is armed and is not. Bad usability, they dont think of the user, they have to work more the product, looks like a beta. For developers:If the average of ratings is 3, you really have to consider changing something, majority of comments are complains.
Slow & laggy app. Can no longer reboot the CubeOne from the app either.
I would have given four stars if not for the frequent problem with arming and disarming.
Terrible support and only interested in selling you more product.
OK we're is the Google home update
Please update for Mexico!!!
New Firmware Update made a difference, but I had to reboot the system and refresh the sensors to get everything in work, you can do this from within this application, go to "Devices, The Cube, Advanced Settings", there's also a good troubleshooting guide link at the bottom of slid out sidebar from the left side, then look at the bottom of the page, you will see a shortcut called "Support" that will have a good troubleshooting guide. I see there is a lot of people having issues after the firmware update, I contacted there customer support and they are very responsive and helped me within minutes. (UPDATE) This app and system is getting better all the time!
The app is the main reason for my 3 star rating. It does the trick, but theres a long delay logging in every time app starts, and frequently throws up a full screen blocking ad, which is frustrating when you just want to arm or disarm the thing. The hardware setup is quick and easy and functions well.
It's not the worst. A bit laggy at times but my biggest issue is arming and disarming (if you only have the spot Camera). Most times I can arm it and it's fine, but I won't be able to disarm it. Support suggested a few things, including reinstalling the app and reconnecting the camera, which usually fixes the issue but who wants to keep doing that. Since u connected the hub, arming/disarming is ok, but the hub keeps going offline at the same time everyday. People on forums have the same issue, so support is aware, but haven't provided an update yet.
Still good. Arm disarm over internet is still slow but otherwise works well. Security of software may be an issue but I don't know if they are worse or better than others. WISH THEY HAD OPTION TO HAVE SMART SWITCHES TO TURN ON AND OFF WITH SIRENS!!!!!!
Like how simple it was too set up. My internet provider is the biggest problem. Android Oreo update has messed up full screen view of spot camera. Hope that is fixed in next update.
Does not work. Can't even activate my account and the option to contact support goes nowhere. Shouldn't be that hard, right? Update: Does now work much of the time, but currently isn't allowing me to set the 'arm' feature, which is essential to the main purpose of a security camera. Congratulations! I'm upgrading my rating to two stars! Edit #2: Once again does not work at all when trying to arm the camera. Useless.
Definitely the worst update yet. How can I be on two different settings at the same time? I opened my app and it shows panic and disarm both lit up. Constant problems with what setting the app is on. Set it to home close the app open it only to see that it's on ARM. Close the app and reopen only to find that it's on disarm. Definitely need some help.
How can a home security company attempt to ignore publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities after having ignored the researchers who tried to disclose responsibly. I haven't seen a single response from the company about it. They have ignored my emails, support tickets, and social media attempts at communication. Don't waste your time with these people.
The issues I previously rated the app for have mostly been resolved, however I'm down grading to a two star because of nearly a dozen security vulnerabilities (one of which could potentially disclose customer info it was said) and the company has been largely silent about (going so far as to delete any forum posts and other public mediums they control where people request an official statement about it). So until they do, consider iSmart potentially broken (from a security perspective) and buy at your own risk.
This latest release works great. But I still have to power cycle the camera on occasion so it arms. However, I can still view and listen remotely. It's strange.
Not reliable as is offline constantly. Door notification sounds like a convenience store. Cameras are good if they are working. Would not recommend
It's a good system. Even though I have some issue with the new icamera keep plus no showing video away from home.????????????
The live video image is cut off when I put the image in landscape orientation. Could the image be adjusted to show the full image in landscape orientation like how it is in portrait orientation? This is on Android 6.0.1. Thanks.
Ads in this app in front of the home screen is totally unacceptable. Otherwise no issues with functionality.
This system is a great vakue for money, reliable and easy to install. Have never had a real issue with it in the one year it's been installed. The only wish I have is for a better resolution camera.
Spot camera has issues at times with Arm/Disarm. Even though I can connect to and watch camera feed, camera refuses to arm. When I click Arm button, loading spinner moves for a long time, finally stops and shows that camera is still disarmed. Very annoying when rushing out of the house, not reliable.
Why using XMPushingService? Fullscreen messed up.
Lags so much its not useful.
We need some outside cameras
It will no longer "Arm".
New Android app is way better. Love the updates.
Work really good nothing to complain about

Promising product, horrible company. They keep pushing back the product release that i paid for SIX MONTHS AGO. They won't communicate 'why' and have not responded to emails i've sent. I also have family who have ordered multiple systems. It is well beyond the estimated shipped date and they have yet to arrive. Inquiries on the whereabouts have not been answered and no tracking provided. Seems to me they are taking the money and running. Buyer beware. I'll be VERY curious to see how they rectify this situation, but there are a LOT of unhappy customers.
