Remote for iTunes

This is a great app. Really like the way it stays well connected to iTunes. On iPhones using the apple remote, Everytime you open the app the thing has to reconnect. With this app it just seems to be connected the second you open it. Recently though, I am not able to browse my media properly. When I click on an artist or album, it thinks for a second and then just displays all the song in my library. Disappointingly the app is kind of not functional like this. I'm hoping the developers are reading.

Dear developers, I love your app, but it no longer works with the latest iTunes - when I select an album, it doesn't show the songs on that album, it shows all the songs in the library. When I select an artist, the same thing happens - all songs in the library are shown. Please fix this, if you're able to? Thanks! ☺️

For example, try scrolling to an album on the Albums tab. Now try pressing the menu for an album in the list. The stroller responds, taking you to another part of the list. I've verified this on two devices with different Android versions. There's more bugs like this. It used to be a great program.

This has been a fantastic iTunes remote for me for several years now. However, I upgraded my Nexus 5X to Android Nougat and album/track filtering is broken. Choosing an artist now shows all albums in library rather than just those of the artist. Any search always shows complete library track list rather than actual search result. So it's pretty unusable now. iTunes is OSX 12.5.1.21

Used to be great but now still refuses to connect even after rebooting pc, phone and wifi router as per help. Gives the code on phone but now there seems to be nowhere on iTunes to enter the code!!! Help was useless. Finally gave up and downloaded RETUNE which has more useful instructions on how to connect to iTunes latest version. Otherwise a good app once you figure out how to connect it via the *really obscure button* on top left of iTunes!

Worked fine up until the last week, it now will show EVERY ALBUM for every artist no matter what artist's name I click on. It won't play any song other than the first in any playlist, have tried deleting and re-installing, forgetting my library and making iTunes forget all remotes. Very unhappy.

Works well, but it used to work better it seems. No longer does it instantly show up on my phone when iTunes is playing on my computer and half the time I have to re-type the activation code into youtube (on the same computer, on the same wifi) so the app can connect and act as a remote.

Doesnt seem to work with the latest Itunes update. Maybe Im wrong but, latest update, Itunes is.. a little different. Wheres the Remote/library connection code tab?

Some improvements are needed. 1) it has appeared that the songs for the artists cannot be found and it is a bug. 2) queing songs would be great. 3) keeps disconnecting and reconnecting are constant track skip

It connects just fine, but when I choose a song, it doesn't actually do anything. Quite a shame, I've used this app for about four years. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Worked great when I first installed it. Now seems very unreliable and often fails to connect. Please update as its no longer much use

Everything is good, I like it alot. The only thing is that when browsing the playlists, it does not show the song currently playing.....Another thing that i think is missing is EQ CONTROL

Like all the remotes I've found for iTunes on Android this one seems to forget that you can watch Video on iTunes/Apple TV. Seems like a pretty basic oversight and I can't understand why this seems to be a common theme. Also doesn't seem to be able to deal with non-ascii character sets. All my Genres and Playlists seem to have a lot of random characters in them Very dissapointed.

Updated to Android 7 and tried this since my favorite freeware stopped working. This app also appears to be incompatible. Apparently too late to get a refund, unfortunately for me - save your $.

I don't know why, but this app works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't always see itunes for some reason. An app that works 30% of the time is kind of useless.

Works great every time. Outstanding app.! If it was Android Wear compatible it would be perfect!!

I only wish it mirrored iTunes' playlist folder structure. A single list of all my playlists is a pain.

Not sure I am liking this. Nothing is working. Only money taken out of my account and draining my battery before work

Faster and more detailed search than available on my Ipod, as good or better than Itunes on the desktop. Does it all. It's everything I wanted and more than I expected. Can't say enough. Get it.

I use this almost daily. At work and at home, but it would be great to have some simple controls or functions available from the lock screen, like the typical Rewind, Pause, and Forward.

Update 8/13/14 have not been able to use app lately as it will not connect with iTunes much any more and when it does hangs for long periods. Almost useless now. Installed back in March and it worked great. Update 6/11/15, well it worked great on my LG G3 for most of the past 8 months as long as i restarted my mac everyday, then shortly after LG update to android L it stopped working again. This time it disables my macbook airs wifi after trying to connect. Restarting computer and/or phone offer no help. Internet router and network exactly the same as it has for the last 2 years. I love this when this app works, useless when it doesn't. Not sure where the problem is.

Not bad, it works, but no Android Wear integration after all these months, which makes it pretty much useless to me.

Awesome app. But, no more lock screen widgets on lollipop, so please build quick controls into notification! (Back-play/pause-forward). Back to 5 stars as soon as we have that!

The people giving bad reviews because they don't understand what 'remote' means are morons and should have their phones taken away. FEATURE REQUESTS : 1) I would like to see an alarm clock feature. I want the app to trigger a playlist at a specific time and at a specific volume. It ought to be easy for you to engineer. 2) In 'Up Next', please either move 'clear' away from 'remove', or add a confirmation to 'clear'. It is too easy to press. 3) Add press, hold and drag an 'Up Next' item to a new order.

Needs update for L design guidelines (or even KK), but more importantly it needs notification bar music controls, a la Google Play Music and others.

This almost feels like a native app. You can start playing from your tablet and your phone picks up that it is playing. Tight control between all devices. Great app, hopefully a Material Design update is coming!

Looking for a remote app like this where I can control iTunes but also send music from iTunes to my airplay devices... Am I missing something or?

Can't ever just open the app and use it. Every single time I use it I have to remove my itunes library through the apps settings and readd it TWO TIMES. It'll "contact Itunes", gives me a four digit code I enter, tells me the remote is connected on my laptop but on the app gives me an error message so I have to do it all again. So yeah, its a nice app, when, it works.

When app is closed / or stopped from task manager it continues to periodically call my PC which will therefore not go to sleep. Only way is to stop services. Should have option to not run in background

Did everything under the help tab and still doesn't work. Don't waste your money, last update was almost a year ago.

Had a lot of trouble getting it to connect itunes and now no longer connects. Awesome app when it worked

Whenever I run this app my Denon 1913 is limited to -6 db on the volume control. I cannot exceed this volume on my amp unless I force close the app

Ok Sooo for the longest time I stopped using this thing because out of the blue it stopped working after an update. So now I have a new router and have set of everything accordingly even assigned I.p. addresses to all devices to make my pc easier to find and still will not connect. My remote for power DVD works fine as it always has. Only thing I can think of is that this app is no longer compatible with iTunes 10.7. Which is all I'll use as 11 is just retarded, I have no apple products so no need to update

Its a very handy tool. However it frequently stops working at which time it is usually fixed by updating either the app or iTunes. Which is not cool.
