This is finally the stock ticker widget you've been looking for. After becoming frustrated by the lack of decent stock widgets on the Android, I decided to make one. The result is a CNBC style, two layer, multi speed scrolling stock ticker that not only looks cool, but provides you with up to date quotes for your entire portfolio in a small amount of space. Recommended use is to put individual stocks on the upper watchlist while major global indices and/or currencies on the lower watchlist.
This is a widget and requires one full line of space. To add a widget, long click on empty space within your home screen then select 'Widget' --> 'Stock Ticker Tape Widget'. The widget features a 4 X 1 widget which will work for most phones as well as 6 X 1 and 8 X 1 widgets for larger devices and tablets.
In this free version, the upper watchlist contains high volume individual stocks quotes while the lower watchlist contains the following major global indices:
- S&P 500
- Nasdaq
- Russell 2000
- London Stock Exchange FTSE 100
- French CAC 40
- German DAX 30
- Japanese Nikkei 225
- Chinese Shanghai Composite Index
- Hong Kong Hang Seng Index
- Korean Kospi Index
- S&P Australian ASX 200

The dev promised to work on a work around where android limits. There is no need to "stream" the same info over and over, it needs to be real time! That's the whole point of a streamer.

Clean look and basic data. Very light, with low resources consumption. All pluses. Minus is low qualuty rendering while tape is runing. Far from flowless movement. Should be improved.

The two ticker rows should move at the same rate because it gets hard to focus on. The bottom ticker is really fast, too. So if there was a way to adjust the speed to the user's preference, I'd appreciate it.

The free version will only let you view the developers chosen stocks. You can't load your own portfolio. Totally worthless.

I Keep having issues with the widget customization of my tickers. In addition when loaded I can't make changes. I have to remove and reloadto male changes.

Needs optimized for Jelly Bean. Only 6 stocks load and I won't pay almost $3.00!
