Nerd Out

A great app to find all about nerdy events like comic cons, film events, etc. Also has social media aspect. Still some bugs need to be sorted out like notifications tell you when youve got a new like but when you go to see the like or comment it doesn't show.

It's a great resource. However it'll be even better if there's an easier way to submit new events. 99% of the time in on my phone and it's difficult to provide all information needed in an email.

I love having a comprehensive listing of nerdy & geeky events happening in my area. New cities are being added as quickly as possible, so I frequently recommend this app to friends all over the country (and world).

Changing my review slightly. In the past I'd said this doesn't work with Sunrise Calendar, but that app is being discontinued, so I now use the integrated calendar on my device and that's fine. I really, really enjoy this app. As time goes on I see myself using it more and more!

They have few locations listed. They have the option to ask for a location to be added, but it looks like it takes months for it.

So far so good, except my city isnt on it, still cool though.

Only has details of some events in USA. Forget it if you live anywhere else in the world.

Great app! Can't wait to see how it grows!

Lot of information to look at

EDITED TO ADD: I use a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The app actually worked fine up until a month or so ago, then it wouldnt load at all. I uninstalled then reinstalled, and it loads now, but has the issue witb the calendar. I've uninstalled and reinstalled since, but the calendar issue remains. The calendar is the most important part of this app but as soon as I choose my city it ALWAYS defaults the calendar view to all. If i try to change the sort, the app freezes and eventually stops running.

The app has improved since the original version, but still has some glitches. I like that the calendar now automatically spends you to a listing of geographical areas so you can restrict yourself to checking your immediate area. However, Los Angeles, for instance, is still actually showing what appears to be the entire list. San Diego shows only San Diego but is rather thin and is showing mostly events that have already passed. And to claim to be a comprehensive list is just hubris.

GREAT Idea! Though we need some love for the Midwest like omaha or Kansas city

Finally, someone was able to put together all the geeky events happening around me. I hate finding out after the fact, or scheduling something when there is an amazing event going on. Now I will forever be in the know. :)

Awesome way to keep abreast of nerd events. Not sure why it needs access to camera, pics, calendar, etc.. but it works very well!

Lots of info on events and happenings all around the country. New city's are added often. Can't wait to use it next time I travel.

This app is rad, pulling together a wide array of cool events!

The map view didn't have nearly any of the list view, and the list view was only relevant for major cities. Cool idea, poorly executed

I requested a location be added, but was declined. Not worth using if I can't track events near me, and there's quite a few in the area.

Only covers a very small number of cities, and I don't live close to any of them

Do you hate being the one who finds out on Monday what a great nerd weekend everyone else just had? This app just might fix that for you! You can stay in the event loop, finding the good geeky shows, conventions, and other stuff going on in your area. You can also submit an event of your own very easily. More cities and events are being added, so it's only getting better!

One has to click on each individual calendar item to see if it is in striking range, and then go down the next link to get the actual address. And even on the location page the full address is not shown at the top of the page. Then you add the fact that there are not many items from any one area, certainly not many compared to what I know is available, makes this a poor source, again particularly compared to local sources I know are out there.

I love this app and use it all the time. I don't even know how I manged to nerd out before it! WINNING!

Needs more cities to choose from x

This app is an easy way to find fun, nerdy events. It's organized well so that you can quickly find something in your area or other regions when traveling and has a nice my calendar function to keep everything organized or you can export the event to your google calendar (or other online calendars) with the click of a button. Plus, the art on the front page is pretty cool.

It's a big nerdy-world out there and I never know where to look for different events. This is exactly what I need to discover events that fit my interests!

Fun and easy way to find cool things to do with like minded people. Love it!

Never be out of the loop when awesome events are going on around you! I'm so excited, I love the themed Disney days!
