רדיו אסאל הוקם לראשונה ב 1996 ע"י : דוד רבי הפקות.
זהו הרדיו הראשון שהוקם עבור יהודי אירן בישראל ...
רדיו אסאל הוקם למטרת שימור התרבות הפרסית בישראל.
"רדיו אסאל" היה רדיו פירטי שלא קיבל הזדמנות ממשרד התקשרות כדי להיות הרדיו החוקי של עולי אירן בישראל.
מר סעיד רבי אשר נתמך בידיי חברים כדי להרים את פרויקט ''רדיו אסאל'' ו-שימור התרבות בישראל.
הוא נעזר באנשים יקרים פרהד טראשנדגאן, פלי פרמארז ז''ל ,שלמה בן רחמים, ומר הושנג ביביאן, ו-האומן הגדול אמיר שהרסאר.
רדיו ''אסאל'' היה באותם תקופות- לחמצן -של עולי אירן בישראל. הרדיו שנתן מצב רוח ותקווה לעולים חדשים שהיו כאן בישראל,והם מודים לו עד עצם היום הזה.
היום לאחר תקופה ארוכה רדיו ''אסאל חוזר אליכם במתכונת חוקית, בבעלותו של סעיד רבי אשר מכונה ''סעיד ג'ון '' ובניהולו של מנשה שי (שהראם שהרוז)- אשר הביא לכם בעבר את הרדיו האינטרנטי הראשון בישראל.
