Surf Kiwi for Android
Hangs while loading on note 5
“Surf Guide to New Zealand” is a fantastic app for surfers visiting or local to New Zealand. You can spend more time on the waves, because this app will give you advice on the best places to go surfing, so you don’t have to find out by trial and error checking the places out. The app gives you more than 500 descriptions of surfing sites, and tells you all the information you need to know to figure out if you want to surf there and when is the best time to go. The app is very well designed, running great on my Galaxy Note 8. I also use the app on my Galaxy S4, and it works just as well there, letting me take the app (and my phone’s GPS) out to find the best surfing spots. Well done!
And left to die. There's spam, bugs galore and the links to forecasts don't work. No updates since July 2014. I'm looking elsewhere. Could this be open-sourced? There's a solid foundation.
Won't load the app or anything with full Internet connection
I want to like it but its the buggiest app I've ever downloaded. Just sits on first page unless I clear cache. Stalls a lot. Other than performance, its a nice app
Im a kiwi so this is really handy evanif I am living 500 metres from the beach .kakanuis cambells bay is a good place to learn if your interested in surfing too ⊙_⊙ :P
Great app that brings together a range of information sources.
I can't download this app for some reason, it gets to 95% and it stops, any suggestions why? I surf often so I would like to see if this app would be helpful
Amazing app cant do with out it

Great app for surfing lovers. Now I'm at one of my cousin’s home and she asked me to go for a surf at whale bay, Raglan. Then she introduced this surf guide app for me since it gives real time updates on surfing conditions such as wave type, wave quality and best tides to surf on. This app is linked with Google maps so we can check and get the directions to the nearest beaches which have the optimum waves. Among other features I really love the real time feeds on the dashboard and chat feature. App noticed last Saturday was a great day for surfing in the Whale bay… We went there and had so much fun….Great app…Thanks…
Awesome surf spot guide for NZ. Cool application with some great links to surf reports.
Black Sheep Surf Guides App saves you time while searching for new surfing sites, allowing you to spend more time INSIDE the water. The app features over 500 descriptions of surfing sites, including properties such as wave type, quality and optimum tides. You can also discuss about the locations with friends, ask for recommendations and real time information from friends by using the built-in chat. In addition, by pressing the "Near" icon, the app will provide you with a list of all the surfing locations nearby. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use, and I recommend this app to anyone visiting New Zealand and looking for surfing sites.
The UI is smooth and responsive and has an overall great design. Whether you want to just explore the coastline or check out the best locations to surf, this app is great for both.
Is advertised like the Sherpa app but massively misses the mark. App is glitchy, slow and has no forecast function. For an app that has to be purchased this is poor. This needs to be completely redesigned.
Where is the near icon, and why is there 7 versions of takapuna beach. Was expecting a bit more than this folks.
