Great App

You must be a Herald Mail subscriber to do ANYTHING with their app. Pointless to me. Follow the Chambersburg Public Opinion app's lead. You can actually look at news on their app, with no subscriptions. UNINSTALL.

Used to be able to read the news just fine on the old app. Now I have to have a subscription but I don't need one because I get them from the store my mother owns. I'd rather read it off my phone though. Money hungry basterds. Only news app I have ever seen do this. Deleting and will be using 4 state.

The mobile app will not let me log in. It keeps saying server error. So frustrating.

Its slow can see the headline but when you click on the story you have to pay for subscription. Old app was free. Will be uninstalling after I write this review.

Only shows a couple of stories. Web site it much better.

Your 4 State is eating you alive...

In order for this app to work right you must subscribe to the Herald Mail to read the full article. The old app you where able read the articles for free. Uninstalled.

Lame. Now they want us to pay for news. I will get the news elsewhere.

The font size is too small. To view the weather page requires tapping on a tiny menu pull down at the top of the screen. And, now when an article is viewed you have to keep "backing out" of everything you just viewed to get back to the home screen. Bring back the large shortcut buttons that take you directly to the different sections.

Have no problem paying for good product,but this app is the worst,loads slow when & if it loads,worst $5.99/mo i've ever spent

With this new app, you now cannot read any story without purchasing a subscription. This is no different than most online newspapers, but in the case of this newspaper, I want to see an improvement in the product before I would consider paying for it.

Oh wait the app is free but you have to pay to read the news really Herald mail? I pay for the printed paper, why would I pay more money to read it online I'm already a customer of the Herald Mail now I have to be a customer X2? People who pay for the paper should get this for free, the old app was awesome now it just completely sucks. I used to sit down at work with my coffee and read this app every morning and not use any other news outlet app for Washington County I can't believe you guys just did this

I can't beleave the Herald Mail wants us to start paying,I would sit down and read the o line version and realy I enjoyed it but I won't pay just to do thelat anymore I will move on to a different online new paper that is free.

They actually expect you to pay for a subscription now. There are plenty of other news sources like You4State or The Journal that are still free and cover the same news stories.

Great app for free. Not worth paying for.

Cannot open any news without subscribing :(

They changed the app so you have to buy a subscription WTF !

I am able to open the app and view content with no subscription. Very streamlined app. Definite improvement.

I shouldn't have to sign in to read an article. I liked the old app better. I don't have to sign in to read articles on the website. Its just stupid.

I subscribe to the print newspaper so I thought I'd give their app a try... The first article I tried to read requires an additional subscription to see the digital content. At least they made it a quick and easy decision to immediately uninstall. Don't install this app unless you plan to pay to see any of their mediocre news product.

Pathetic. I can get local news free from other apps.

Terrible.. I have to pay for this crap?! It's a ok local new outlet. But I'll never pay for it.

Horrible design and programming. They should feature themselves in an article, " Ditched the great app version just so they could start charging." I even tried to pay and the links dead-ended!
