South Bend Tribune for Android
Navigation and the subscriber services need work and this obviously should also be with anonymous submissions unless you have notified the writer in advance with permission granted to post.
Cuts down on the news
Some may have had bad experiences with an older version, but this update is very good. It's clean, colorful, informative, and works smoothly. I've been easily able to open the stories presented.

I really like the update. Especially the orbits. We live out of town and like to keep up. Thanks
Easy to use.
It stinks. It lets you download the app and install the app but doesnt let you read any of the articles.

Your app is horrible.

I have to keep uninstalling and installing this app. I pay for the Tribune subscription and can't even read the news on the app!

The Tribune has always always been greedy. No wonder they're going to go out of business soon.
On the other side of the fence as a subscriber, I still get force fed obtrusive ads that cover a portion of my screen (on EVERY screen) ... unlike any other apps I have paid for/sub'd to. Keep the ads for the no-subs please. Secondly, I can find no configuration to shut off the annoying notifications that fill my notification area. I just want to read the news when I want to read it, not have it forced down my throat. I understand some may like this feature, but I do not. Please allow some sort of configuration option. I prefer electronic media, except in the case where something is designed as poorly as this.
You would think that some articles would be available in their entirety with other content limited to subscribers only but nothing is viewable without paying. Poor business model.
Doesn't load have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work. Please fix this issue.
Wow
To read the stories, you have to subscribe.
Obviously you are selling our email addresses to marketers.

Home invadings, shootings ext.
Can't even read the obituaries!
This is the first newspaper app I've seen that requires a subscription for all of its online content. This will tank fast.
Only used it for notre dame news. Theres many websites and local apps I can use to get the news. The SBT is full of ads anyways
An end of an era
As someone who's father worked his entire life at the Tribune, I enjoyed keeping in touch through this app now that I have moved out of state. Apparently ad revenue wasn't enough for them now you need a subscription. This is terrible!
I understand that in this day an age it is hard for newspapers to make the profits they once did but charging a subscription for this app is a terrible business decision. Try getting money through app ads. This will increase your amount of users on the app and will drive ad views through the roof. Plus you won't make everyone so upset. If subscription status changes I will definitely change my one star rating to a four or five. The app seems pretty good.
I get that print news needs to do what they can to generate revenue in the era of online news... But, give me an opportunity to subscribe... Stupid. Uninstall. Going with the TV stations...
I can get my local news for free elsewhere. I don't see many people subscribing so they can view this app.
New app does not let you read any articles without being a paid subscriber - and the app does not have an option to BECOME a paid subscriber! I'm uninstalling since it does me no good to just be able to see the headline and first sentence of an article.
I am not as upset as much as others over the paid aspect of the app, but content and navigation could be improved. Though it does have a cleaner look then old version.
It's a shame some people feel they shouldn't have to pay for a subscription to get the news. This app is a nice perk for subscribing customers.
This used to be a good news paper.....
Doesn't load readily, can't always log on. Says someone else is logged on with my user name. I'll reload when the bugs are out.

The app has gotten better over time, but the breaking news notifications they push are a worthless. You get a notification you canread part of, then when you click on it the app opens only for there not to be an article about it.
