HooToo TripMate

A $15 Tripmate Nano and this free app turns a usb drive and your phones and tablets into the most awesome in-car entertainment system ever! Not sure what all the poor reviews are about, but as of 8/27/2016 this app works like a dream on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. All movies and music on my usb drive connected to the Nano loads quickly through the clean and simple interface. Even has a pop out screen feature so you can browse other contents while watching the current movie. A little hesitant at first seeing some poor reviews but can fully recommend. I don't write reviews much but as pleasantly surprised and wanted to give this 5 stars. Way to go Hootoo on an awesome product at a great price!

App no longer sees my media files after phone update to Android Marshmallow... Please fix, I love this app otherwise to use with my HooToo Trip Mate.

No idea if the little gadget works or not. App to access it is horrendous. I have never seen such a useless app before (apart maybe from Promise and their awful software for the SmartStore NS-2300N NAS) Tried to access the unit with a hard drive attached to it. Didn't work. Then a micro sd card (with an adapter). No luck. I tried to access the router interface using a browser from my MacBook Pro. Nothing. Frustrating. Item is going back to Amazon as quickly as possible. And a very bad review will follow.

Has worked brilliantly so far, great to take away on holiday. I've had it streaming to 3 devices simultaneously no problems. Fast and reliable.

I am not able to access my phone though hootoo app, as it doesn't show my SD card content to transfer, please help

Works well I don't no what people are wanting also have hoo too works great only thing can't create folder with in your portable hard to put files in folder would give 5 stars if you could

Don't have any problems with app. on note 3 or s6 . Great to have place to store files I don't need all of the time. Like roms and other large files.

The application is easy to use and let's me play music from 120gb ssd.

Runs my 1TB 2.5" HDD. This app sucks though...

Congratulations guys! You have built the worst App in the entire Play Store. I haven't seen such poor screen management since the days of character based terminals!

It will not connect with my galaxy tab 4 but I does with my iPhone 5 please fix the problem with galaxy 4

Your products seem to work so well but this app is just worthless. Needs a lot of improvement in terms of ui and usability. I have configured my TripMate Titan differently to work with my devices otherwise the device would have been useless with this app.

I think you need to read more of instructions look up what connections you have .This thing is awesome most important thing is getting a flash drive, and putting the IP in browser. I've got no plan and have full network leaving house. Mostly I've got more storage

I was considering buying HT TripMate from Amazon. But from what I see, the app seems to have been developped for phones: On my Samsung galaxy Note Pro, the design of this app is not attractive. What's more, when trying to read photos stored on my local folder on my tablet, it is taking time for it to display, which is a bad sign for me. I think the idea behind this app is good but the app need to have a tablet version, and need to be a finish product.

All my music and movies have album art on my hard drive but on the app they dont display.

Works well enough. Not a lot of polish but gets the job done. If the developer reads this : during unmount request when the user is browsing My Tripmate, just kick the user over to 'My Device' rather than giving a device in use message.

So I googled for the default wifi password (11111111) and web interface (10.10.10.254) and admin password (blank) and configured it that way. Meanwhile this app just spun and spun.

Latest release addresses Lollipop compatibility. App force closes immediately on 2013 Nexus 7 Lollipop. Assume it is incompatible with ART runtime as that was the case when I tried ART under KitKat.

Crashes on Android 5, Nexus 7 tab

Crashes on lollipop. Now I use AndSMB to access my HooToo TripMate. AndSMB works well.
