About MyWorldWeather
'MyWorldWeather' is a mobile version of the WWIS developed for Android platform. It is equipped with location-based technology to detect the location where the user is located and to provide users with official city weather forecast automatically.
The World Weather Information Service (WWIS) website is the first and the only one global website presenting OFFICIAL weather observations, weather forecasts and climatological information for selected cities provided by National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) worldwide.WWIS aims to provide authoritative and reliable weather information of NMHSs around the world to all internet users and media.The WWIS website was developed and maintained by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) on behalf of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). By March 2017, WWIS provided official weather information for 2123 cities in which 1997 cities are available with forecast from 135 members while 1961 cities are available with climatological information from 169 members.

Every time I tried to set the city manually, the phone force closed the app (yes. I've tried more than hundreds of times. It happened to have the same result.) App developer, plz fix this problem. Thx!

It showed I am in Geneva all the time, please fix this, otherwise the apps is useless!

This would have been a greatly useful app had some issues (e.g. location) noted by the reviewers been considered. But then maybe the results for areas are not that specific because of the location of the target weather station or equipment. For instance, I am currently in North Epping, NSW, Australia but the results indicate that of Parramatta, which I think where the weather equipment is located. It's also Parramatta in my other weather app (Go Weather app). Also, I understand that only major, capital cities have been included in the database. For instance, only Metro Manila was indicated for the Philippines. That's understandable though as the country's major weather station headquarters is located thereabout. Maybe a little explanation of the app's geo-political coverage and technical details will help potential users, e.g., Taiwan being part of China, that's because only China is "recognized" by the WMO, which is a UN body. Technical problems may be resolved by re-setting the phone, so the GPS/satellite setting can reconfigure user's location vis-a-vis this app.

Nice fun app, not complicated. Just move around the world and see what the weather is like. Biggest thing I like....... no adverts!

1. Incorrect city name (eg Taipei instead of Taibei) 2. Incorrect country (eg. Taiwan isn't a part of China but the app group Taiwan is a part of China) 3. Can't detect my current location

I lived in Hong Kong - not Switzerland!!! And it doesn't even list my hometown in New Zealand as an option for bookmarks! Immediately uninstalling, useless app!
