「社會服務熱線總覽」成立背景

香港人居住環境擠迫、生活緊張。特別當經濟、健康或人際關係等方面遇到困難時,情緒很容易受到困擾。一旦得不到適當幫助和支援,後果可以很嚴重。鑑於目前全港有超過280個社會服務和熱線,市民難以一一記得,到需要打電話求助時,無所適從,故社聯現推出大型綜合電話轉駁系統,方便有需要人士能更快尋找到有關方面的幫助。

根據社聯估計,全港的熱線電話每月平均接到的求助或查詢接近34萬個。換言之,平均每8秒鐘,便有最少一個人通過電話,查詢或尋求社會服務的協助。當中,最普遍的是與經濟、情緒和健康問題有關,而平均每月接到涉及有自殺念頭或受虐待的電話,亦佔約2700多個之多。而「社會服務熱線總覽」在2002年6月啟用後第一個月,便已接獲2萬3千多個來電。

我們抱著「人間洋溢溫情,互助帶來希望」的信念,希望透過這個一站式社會服務熱線轉駁系統,發揚社會的互助文化,讓有需要的人記得仍有人願意聆聽他們的傾訴。

特色

「社會服務熱線總覽」現已獲得逾150個社會服務機構及政府部門的支持,連繫超過280個服務和熱線電話。市民只要通過一個電話號碼,便可接觸所需的社會服務。所連繫之服務類別包括:有自殺困擾;受暴力對待;遇到經濟、情緒、健康、學業等困擾;或者需要臨時居所、法律諮詢等服務。
