About Charging LED
Battery Charging LED is developed and tested for the Galaxy Nexus, because the phone don't provide any indication during charging. It may works on other phones (NO GUARANTEE).
Once the app is installed and setup, the phone's LED will blink in different colour during charging when screen off (Android constraint).
Features:
* Definable LED blink rate
* Definable LED colour
* Definable battery level interval
* Charging status notification
* Charging sound notification
* Import/Export settings (Advanced users can edit the colour hex code in ini file, and import settings for more precise colour)
*** For users wanting to enter HEX colour code, follow below steps:
(1) Export settings to storage
(2) Edit the exported ChargingLED.ini file with required colour code
(3) Import the ChargingLED.ini back to the app

- LED will only light up when the screen is off.
- Lollipop users should ensure "Settings > Sound & notification > Interruptions > When notification arrive" is set to "Always interrupt", otherwise, LED notification from Charging LED may not be recognize.
*** For Nexus 5X users on Android 7 ***
1 - Goto "Settings > System UI Tuner > Other > Power Notification Controls" and turn it on.
2 - Goto "Settings > Notifications > Charging LED" and change the notification level from Auto (tap on the 'A') to Level 4 (one level higher to the right).
Note:
The above options may also exists on different devices, so take a look yourself.

Comment dated 2012-12-29, report "Daydream" feature does not conflict with the app, but as always the screen needs to be off for the LED to light up. Thanks you for the report.
*** For Samsung Galaxy S3 users ***
The GS3 actually have a built in charging LED indicator option.
The app maybe having conflict with this option, try disable this first. "Setting > LED indicator > Charging".
Again, as I don't own a GS3, appreciate anyone with a GS3 to test this out and report finding.
*** For Android 7.1.1 (Lineage OS) ***
Try set notifications to be at least level 4.
This may also apply to all Android 7. So give it a check.

Update: actually it works perfect with my nexus 5x. The light is blinking in the bottom of the screen when screen is off. 5-star! If you have newly installed the app and configured the settings, plug off and on the cable to trigger the event in case you can't see the LED at once.

Works well on my Moto G (4.4.4), which doesn't have a color LED, so I have it flash when it's charging, and be on solid when fully charged. It works with Android 5.1 as well. Now I'm running Cyanogenmod on my Moto G, and your app still works well.

Worked great on my Nexus 6P until I installed Nougat. I have uninstalled app and reinstalled, but it won't work! I really loved this app, wished it would still work!!!

I work with app developers often to ensure their apps work when new versions of Android come out. I emailed the dev of this app and informed them that it was not working on 6p on Android 7. I emailed asking if others reported and to report its not working. The reply "The app description is already at max, so I don't update it anymore. You can filter the comments on Play Store your device to see if other users posted the information you seek." I am thinking they're not planning on updating. Very unfortunate.

Posting this to help fellow users for which app no longer works after upgrading to Nougat. You need to go to Settings --> System UI Tuner --> Other --> Power Notification Controls --> and turn it on. Then, Settings --> Notifications --> Charging LED --> and change the notification level from Auto (tap on the 'A') to Level 4 (one level higher to the right). Rated 4 stars because support sucks from developer. However, it is free and it is great that he contributed this app for those who can benefit also.

I've tried a few of these~no luck. This one doesn't work on my phone either(Huawei 635) but the instructions were spot on and led me to his batt widget that gives you an audio indicator instead of Led...so It's the next best thing! Rating should be higher as he makes no promises and gives clear instr on how to test and guides you to the audio solution if it doesn't work. Which BTW is an awesome little widget with a bunch more functions than just a % +free&no ads *No LED on my phone model Thx DEV Ur Awesome

Needs step by step walkthrough and handholding for version 6.0+. pulse notification light option is now gone in new ui system. needs option in app to take us directly to the box to enable or disable the light. plz fix

I only use Sound mode (my Moto E2 lacks LED notification). Yet I like using my custom ringtones for the plugging/unplugging of my device; & using 1 for a 100%-charge, the parameters of which are tweakable. Alas, 'Charging LED' is less than reliable: sometimes it's late, or inactive, or activates 2 custom 'tones simultaneously (all plugging/unplugging behaviors). But I'm grateful it functions as it does. While unoptimized for M E2, it still manages & exhibits quality.
