QuartzCrystal Oscillator shows the impedance / admittance characteristics of quartz crystals over frequency. An external circuit capacitance and an additional series impedance can be put in series to the crystal to evaluate the behaviour in practical circuits.
Switching the structure to 'Pierce/Colpitts Oscillator' allows to evaluate and optimize these popular oscillator configurations, which are used with most processor units. Doing so, the vastly very general manufacturer recommendations can be optimized improving startup time and providing for acceptable crystal power values. A program-controlled optimization routine is provided.
