Tdl Todo List

I have been using AbstractSpoon's Todolist for something like 10 years on my laptop running Windows, it truly is the best out there. Today I installed the Android version on my Samsung galaxy S7 Edge, and using the File Browser I tried to load my tdl file but get the error message "This is not a proper TDL file. Please try another file". Please help, thank you.

I made new folders and deleted old in GoogleDrive. New folders can not be seen in file browser. Bug ? Some java error messages when I try to save notes. Can not save. Otherwise I'd like to use this!

Spectacular with todolist from abstractspoon on codeproject. Works great with dropsync to dropbox to keep my todolists synchronized everywhere.

Whenever I try to import a file from dropbox I get permission denied

Is it possible to take my List from Windows and import it to your Android version? I see no way to do it.

MOTO G4 Android 6.0.1. Bug. If Start and Due dates/times input on a new task or changed on an existing task, the dates are saved as the day before. Means you have to specify a date 24 hours ahead so that it saves as the correct date.

I have been using Abstractspoon's todolist on my desktop PC for years. It is a convenient hierarchical to-do list application with subtasks and many useful features. With tdl Todo Lists on android I now take my task lists with me wherever I go with my tablet. - I synchronize the task list files between PC and android with my ownCloud server. I use FolderSync free for synchronisation on android. This is an easy, flexible solution that keeps my data away from Google and gives me full control of synchronization. -The user interface is a lot less convenient on android than on the PC and Tdl Todo List is still beta software. I do not want to risk my data, therefore I so far synchronize only one-way, from the PC to android. - If I occasionally add a task on the tablet while on the go, I will have to transcribe it manually later into the PC, but that is rare and does not bother me. - Another solution, if you frequently edit your lists on the go, is to synchronize both ways and rely on the backups on android or on the PC to restore the lists if something goes wrong. - -> I am very happy to have found Tdl Todo List and grateful to the author for providing it free.

I saved my tdl file in the dropbox folder. When I open it from PC - everything OK. When I open it from dropbox from mobile phone - sometimes I get error - unexpexted end of file. Simetimes not. But when it happened the file becomes unreadable from PC too. In this case I have to open backup file. It is very very annoying...

Does app support encrypted todolist files?

It's not opening tdl files from the current windows version. If I edit the tdl file and change the version number from 10 to 9 and remove the file location string, it opens.

Tried to use. Created list. Can only access via 'open most recent list'. Tried to open file or backups but won't open. Does this not like a list name beginning with a number?

Ugly, but very functional

Use it on windows. Not anything close on android. Really unpleasant. I saved categories & statuses only to find next time they are not there... dissapointing

Keeping my ToDoList in a dropbox folder and this syncs great with it so I can switch between desktop and tablet versions with ease. 5 Stars to encourage people to try it at least.

Have downloaded my to do list to mobile device but failed to open in Tdl todo list program. Keeps saying "please try another file chooser. If your cloud solution does not work please see instructions"

does not save the notes very buggy

It does what it does, but after the installation it was showing some screen elements, data, etc. inconsistently... Also, some functions are always perfect, but some others always crash right at the beginning, when tapping the menu item. Therefore important functions are unavailable. The widget also has serious problems, showed nothing after opening the right file in the file system. It takes only 1x1 and is unresizable! Tried on a stable tablet, I haven't seen a single crash/java exception on it before this app. I was patient because of the Windows part of this software, but these above are highly disappointing. Some news (edited): ToDoList couldn't have been uninstalled from Windows living it in an undefined state. Do not trust this product at all.

Great app, especially if you also use the desktop version. Thanks for creating this.

Thanks for publishing an Android version of ToDoList. This is a great help in reusing all those todo lists from PC. Since this is a hobby project maybe it would be beneficial to open-source it and accept contributions from interested developers.

Waited for this app for a long long time

TDL is my favorite tasks/to-do's/project/life/work organizer ever (and I've tried them all, going as far back as the paper Filofax days). I'm so happy to have this app on my phone sync'ing with the desktop TDL. Existing functionality works great. Have not bumped into the 8,000 character limitation yet, but I'll let you know. Please keep developing!

I use the desktop version every day, couldn't work without it. This is the app I've been waiting for.

I have been looking for a long time for and Android app that works together with Abstractsoon's tdl. This looks really promising, and I just want to give the developer a heads up to continue. One major improvement would be the option to use ftp to import/export the tdl tasklist. Abstractspoon's tdl has thist ability as well so it would be really easy to keep the lists in sync. I'd be happy to support further development if there is a paid/pro version foreseen.

Thank You. I have been waiting for this for so long. Basic functionality is there and I know additional features are coming. Desktop version is probably the best available, free or commercial. This android version will compliment it perfectly for me.

I started using the TDL ToDo list on my desktop. Great application. I tried the Android app. I thought that it was very easy to use and helpful. My only problem is that when I tried to use DropBox to keep both copies syncronized, that the desktop. It syncronized correctly several times. At one point the desktop complained that the file was corrupted. Some of the line items still worked - but others disappeared from my list. Fortunately, the desktop application makes backup copies, so it was simple to recover my good data. I am rating this a 4 as it is a very good Android app. I remove one star because it did corrupt my data.

Great start to the app. I have been hoping to find something that integrated with the desktop app for a while. My long-term wish list would be to have a look and feel closer to the desktop app, perhaps in a tablet specific version where there is more screen real estate. I am at the start of a new project and I will continue to use this and supply feedback on the forums.

I have this on PC and love it. Unfortunately every time I add a list or make an entry I get a force close notification on Android version.

I use the Windows version not just as a to-do list but as a full-fledged project management system. I can't believe I found this for Android too. You guys are amazing. You can't imagine how happy your softwares and apps make me. I manage my projects with ease and it's all thanks to you. Also I love that I can sync to my DropBox account!

It does exactly what i need. Use it for work every day. Not much more I can say, love it.

GUI needs a little work and would like to see sync over dropbox to multiple devices (pc to android etc)
