About Rajkot SVAP
It is aimed towards improving Electoral Participation in the city and building up a culture of participative democracy among citizens by educating the citizens about their voting rright by providing them an vitual ballot on their hand to have a mock poll to get used to it before polling day. And citizens are pledge to use their right without infallibly & without any misleads.
The voting system in india has gone through many drastic changes and with that the changes in voting system is to be adopted.
This is an interesting application that allows user to learn indian Voting with EVM Machine.
In india, there is huge population with huge community of different age group. Every time when election is declared, a huge group of people get ready to Vote for the first time. So for them to practice this app has came up with a handy ballot.
This application lets them learn about how EVM machine looks (much in a similar way) and works. Even user may have fun of using this application to play with(esp. beep part I.e. a beep sound that every voters hears after registration). So try Voting to a party that they like with random sequence change and could even opt for NOTA(none of the above) as their choice if he/she doesn't liked any candidates.
This especially clears voters idea about how many candidates does they can opt for. Like, lets say here at this time in coming Mahanagarpalika Election - 2015 rajkot- one has a choice to select min. 1 to max. 4 and then push a Register button to cast their vote if not gone for NOTA.
One more thing u must note that registration button is compulsory no matter which choice you made.
So wish u all have a very happy voting and a happy tapping with virtual ballot.
