Remote TV (Remote Potato) for Android
Using 4.3 on a Nexus 7, the app does not connect. The alternative product, which looks like it was made in the 1990s, does connect, but then charges you to see anything. Poor showing for Remote Potato on Android. Oh and since dev keeps saying it's a username/password issue: there is none set up on my server, and more importantly, the identical settings work on Remote Media Center, just not on RemoteTV (this app). Using 1.0.6 on Win 7, x64.
good
good
Keep getting invalid server url error. Might help to add an example url.
Does not connect

Nicely done, works great with MC. If you can integrate streaming in I think you'll have it all!
UI is excellent and very functional. Biggest downside is it cannot start a streaming session like Remote Media Center app can.
While it's not full-featured at present, it works well and allows easy scheduling of programs via remote potato.
Junk. Kept asking to ensure server settings correct in preferences. No preferences, only settings. Correct server info input.
Constant force close on connection to server. Reinstall does nothing. (Huawei Ascend G300 gingerbread)

Does what it says. Would like to have it support mychannel logos and not require a password to connect to server
Great idea and is a much nicer app than the remote patato app. The app continues to crash when I view series or try to search for a show. The user interface could be made a little simpler. Please add a wol option as well as the pc isn't always on. Overall good start and it is what I'm looking for but too buggy for me to use it reliably. Keep up the good work ;)
I recently switched from an iPhone, and I'm super pleased there was a replacement for remote potato. It's a beautifully clean app that works very well! My bit of feedback is, I do wish you could set more than one server...so I don't have to disconnect from the local network to access my guide (server is set for accessing remotely). And I also wish selecting a program immediately took you to the program description, with recording buttons. But still, a very nice app.
every time I try to sign in nothing happens i even put in the correct url I'm running android 2.2 or froyo I've singed in on my pc and everything works fine but whenever I try on my cellular device nothing happens
Clean, simple, efficient and perfect at what it does. If you can't connect it won't be down to the app.
Very cool
Like most people I had a lot of trouble connecting with this in the first place, the ultimate cause was the format, you have to do the URL as http://server:port Once I got past that, no thanks to emailing the developer, I found it really doesn't do anything useful. I can search programing and see what is scheduled to record but I can't add any recordings or cancel them.

Can't log in with this app. I know remote potato is set up properly and the url is entered correctly. I was able to sign in with another app no problem, but that one was buggy so figured I'd give this one a try. I guess it's a no go.
Works well but needs to be updated.
Wouldn't connect to the server from nexus 7
On ICS, does not connect to the web service either with a local network address or with a internet address.
