MOVESMART

MOVESMART route planner seeks to provide the most efficient route from one point to another in terms of energy consumption and, in turn, lead to a decrease emission of pollutants. For this reason, the application integrates a crowd sourcing based traffic prediction along with an energy efficient multi-modal route planner. By taking into account different modes of transport, MOVESMART application is capable of providing transport route alternatives ranked not only by the estimated journey length but also by their environmental impact, prioritizing those who are more sustainable, such as public transport or electric vehicles. It is a tool to address climate change and increase energy efficiency of the mobility sector.
