ISSLive for Android
As per a lot of other users I can't pass the license agreement. Is it some sort of test to determin whether one is qualified to operate this complicated app. For the moment I have given up trying and uninstalled. A pity as it all looked so good. Useless
This has potential but for a smart phone, no way. The asp froze trying to load data from one of the selections and I couldn't get the phone back operating without removing the battery and rebooting. As soon as I got the phone back online I uninstalled. Not worth the risk.I need my phone for important stuff.
In the live 3d feed the solar panels actually rotate as she orbits around our blue marble of a planet. Also you can go walk around ground control and get live feed of data from the station. Its is the most amazing app I have on my tablet, thanks some much for developing it.
Because if it is why do they take billions of dollars per year in tax money but continue to give us trash like this. I think I'll go play elite dangerous and look at better cgi. Deleting this stupidity before I accidentally open again.
You have to read a licence agreement before you use the app but it won't zoom so you can't read it. Not important as you can't click accept either, all you can do is click cancel. Fine by me. Removed immediately. Total waste of time
But despite having an internet connection it never actually seems to be able to connect for live feeds or for live ISS location etc... As for those who can't figure out how to accept user agreement, click on the big red cross where it says "I agree" which will then turn into a tick and the accept button will then be highlighted which in turn can then be pressed, it's not rocket science!.. No pun intended..
I'm obsessed with the space station and I'm sure the app is great and all, but it doesn't work on OnePlus One phones. As soon as I launch it, I get an error saying that the app has stopped. I really would like this app to work because I really want a model of the ISS on my phone, but it doesn't work for OnePlus One phones. Please fix!!!
Cannot accept license. Accept option greyed out. Will assume this is an app fault as too disappointing to consider Australia does not meet restrictions. Take down before insulting too many friends.
Great geek app. I love using this app during a space walk. Last space walk I could see the problem with the loop A cooling and I could see the pressure levels for the airlock. Good stuff although I would like to see more updates and explanation of what some of the data means or expected values.
Will not open, You get the app has stopped message, the moment that you start. No apologies and no reasons. I can only conclude that NASA just doesn't give a toss, and is much more interested in wasting it's budget making sure that vested interest companies have their overpriced parts and equipment used on NASA projects, instead of the more economical alternatives from smaller but just as expert companies. Someone is getting a backhander for this.
I have a Galaxy S4 but the app won't open. Can't get passed user agreement. I try to accept but it won't allow me to select agree. However the decline/cancel button works. So I install the app only to reject the user agreement. Please fix because it sounds like an interesting app.
Come on NASA!! Get your act in order. Seems like this a problem that many are having. I can choose Do not accept and then exit app only. Needs sorting out!!!
I wanted to like this, it's NASA! But every time I look for sunrise or sunset, the camera feed blanks. Dissapointing to say the least. Also, it has sunrise and sunset backwards. Pretty sad really.
Unusable on a smart phone due to the restrictive design that looks like its for a 10 inch tab only. It also rebooted my phone a few times - not impressed at all! Uninstalled within 5 mins
Instantly crashing as soon as it opens. Dear NASA, I will volunteer as tribute. We all know Alien life exists and many of us are ready. As technology gets better your secrets will be exposed. So stop hiding the truth and release all information you have on Alien life. Trust me, I am the one that will calm the storm.
Hasnt worked since 2014! NASA has GIVEN UP & SO SHOULD THE PUBLIC ON SUPPORTING THAT LAZY, BROKEN ORGANIZATION THAT WOULD RATHER LEAVE BROKEN GARBAGE UP TO SERVE AS THE ONLY REPRESENTATION OF WHAT NASA CAN OFFER THAN TO FIX IT OR AT THE VERY LEAST TAKE THE TRASH DOWN SO THEY STOP LOOKING LIKE THE WORTHLESS FAILURES THEY TRULY ARE NOW! SO SAD!! ZERO STARS FOR NOT GIVING A DAMN, NASA!!
Would rate it lower but i can't.i cannot even OPEN the app.i get a light flicker of my home screen and that is that.was hoping this was legit & if so, was excited to use app. Whatta disappointment!!! Boo,uninstall... On a brighter note... The other nasa app is awesome.
You must accept a user agreement before you can use this app. The Accept button is disabled in my version so I cannot use it. This may depend on the country in which I am located. American government agencies sometimes have quaint concepts in this regard.
I love NASA but why can't I view outer space. What's the big deal. Why can't we see? Damnit its like the government is always hiding something
Seems like this would be good if some time were spent on the user interface, which is not intuative at all...really difficult to figure out how it works, even with the Help screen. Pretty graphics do not necessarily make a good app. It is also slow responding and often just hangs up on me. Disappointing. Hope not too many of my tax dollars went into developing this app.
Excellent idea... Absolutely atrocious application though. Utter rubbish execution. Maybe your DO need to be more than a rocket science to develop a nIce app
MCC locks up app. No data for crew. Noticed app is not maintained. Don't waste your time on this one
Don't bother getting this if you have a Samsung 7" tab2, because it will not start, crashes immediately
'LODA BLLX basically' in my humble opinion. Not even Armstrong would've oished this item for posterity. SHAME ON YOU.
Running on a galaxy note 4 I would think it would have enough power to run this sadly it never launches. If it starts to work I will change rating
Not only does the app crash on startup, it takes system UI with it. Worse than Challenger.
Same.....
Normal government bullshit the license agreement is in 1 point text even with a magnifying glass I couldn't tell you what it said. And the accept button took 30 attempts to click. A 10 year old can make an android app why can't America's Best and brightest figure it out. Good thing we retired the shuttles before more astronauts died... After further playing I'm even more disappointed these are just .dwg models of the exterior...
Everything , Everything , matters , an unidentified things I must asking with NASA . From your biggest and widest knowledge that it will serve to me and to us as I want to know about things that I never know it thank you NASA . , an unidentified things I must asking with NASA . Application fails the instant it is started. It doesn't even get to the license agreement! NASA obviously means 'never a serious application'. I NEVER get apps failing before they start! But this heap of stinking horse crap manages it.
This app advertised ' Live feed ' from iss. Well, either it a lie or broken. All I can see is a movable image of iss of which the grafics are out dated. Want a live view from the cam attached to iss please or uninstalling.
Really! NASA? This is not an advance app, will be better if they do it like Google Earth.
I'm not a rocket scientist, but there is live information about some of ISSs systems. Good way to kill an hour.
This is an amateur, beginner application. It's claimed to be an Android application, but it has a bizarre user interface - apparently based on EMACS. What's with landscape only? Why doesn't the Back button work? Tap "X" on screen instead of Back? What's with the different styles of on-screen menu but no menu button? What's with the lengthy "loading" screen between each activity? I'm an Android application developer, and I actually gave up trying to get the license agreement screen to work. It's only after I saw another comment here that I figured out it's possible (you have to scroll to the bottom, tap on the tiny "x" and get it to change, then tap on the even smaller "Accept" button. Obvious). On the other hand, the content is great, if it's there and if you already know where it is so you can get to it.
Fascinating and awe inspiring visuals from the comfort of Mother Earth....
I can't accept licence agreement and go further! It just doesn't work! Tried a few times, all time the same. The 'Accept' box is not even active, only the 'Cancel' box works. Shame!
ISSLive downloaded and installed fast, however like some other reviews said I can't sign the agreement as it is grayed out. I can't zoom it to read it either. The app is useless like this. One star is really too much for an app that you can't get into. With the 4.4 KitKat update I was able to sign the agreement so I am updating my review and adding some stars.
Great geek app. I love using this app during a space walk. Last space walk I could see the problem with the loop A cooling and I could see the pressure levels for the airlock. Good stuff although I would like to see more updates and explanation of what some of the data means or expected values.
Interesting app although the UI in some parts is unconventional (took me about a minute to work out how to accept the license agreement, moving around the MCC goes in the opposite direction than I expect). You get to see the various control centre screens although I would love to see all of them. There is also a rendered view of the ISS in orbit which would be nice as a live wallpaper.

Lovely app: informative and educational. Please take advantage of Android Kit Kat 4.4's Immersive Mode to tackle the entire screen real estate. If possible, please adjust the sensitivity of Mission Control Room 3D Virtual Tour. I find it hard to look and move around. Overall, poor interface implementation for 7 inch devices. I hope this app will be customized for tablets soon - Google Nexus 7 2013 owner.
