Rail Crossing Locator for Android
Very slow and lots of inaccuracy. Crossings removed 3 or more years ago are still listed, and new ones are not. In theory the app is excellent, but since it is maintained by a governmental agency it is not up to date.
Every time I touch with crossing sign it takes forever for the info to come up. Please fix this issue and I'll consider giving this a 5 star rating
It's a good app and it gives the railroads crossing ID number. But not much more than that. Don't know where to start looking for data, who applied for the crossing, when it was implemented, how to keep the railroad crossing, still open.
This app is awesome, needs updated bad. Won't work without Wi-Fi on galaxie s 7 active
App does not work for Android phones, I was sitting right beside a crossing and it was no showing it being there, I also checked for other crossings that I know of and they were not shown in the app either.
I work for a construction railroad company and it good to be able to find crossings when your unfamiliar with the area to get to the crew or make sure equipment gets across highways ok. Thank you for this app.
Poor refresh rate . Fails to show all crossings. Can't click on crossings. Good idea but it needs work.
Look to see what railroads they are and safety so if there's a crash you can call nine-one-one this app is the best
It can be a little clunky in response and it usually thinks I am in Baltimore when I live in Colorado but it works for what I use it for....
It fills a niche purpose, but this app is great at what it does. Being able to view the inventory record and see if a crossing is worth conducting railfanning at is a godsend!
Unreliable half the time doesn't even bring up crossings other half the time it takes ten minutes to bring them up great tool and very helpful.. when it works
It was great when it worked, but now when I try to check the inventory record for any of them it doesn't work even when I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it.
This is a great Hyrail to have. When ever I need a Xing to set o or off, I open up this app and it is dead on as far as the GPS goes.
Very very slow to load and give crossing info
It does not seem to be accurate information
Extremely slow to load and provide information.
Great tool for Fire Departments to quickly determine rail lines and get quicker action in an emergency situation.
Unreliable. Crossings don't display
Great app. I do inspections for vegetation growth for my company and it helps me greatly Love this app!
It would be better and more useful. If the app would work as a gps . An help navigate you to the crossing
It's a pretty good app but can be rather slow at times.
It's a good app but it doesn't go back to the topo map when you zoom in and out
Basic fuctionality, needs more features like being able to click a crossing to get details about that crossing.
I thought it helped with some sort of schedule to avoid trains.
Good app, but loses its way now and then. Occasionally forgets to show crossings. Odd, since that's its purpose. Pulled into the Union Pacific yard today. Just crossed 3 sets of tracks on the way in. Turned on the app and it didn't show any of the crossings I just drove over. NEEDS WORK.
What are the railroad codes and where can you find them.should mark the crossings so you know what railroad it is.such as CN ,NS,CSX,UP,BNSF.ALSO PUT MILE post number on pop up box (CN mp.10.75 Main st)
The crossings do not always show on first try. They may not show at all. Other times they show, but the zoom does not respond quickly. The crossings should be quick, responsive and seamless. In an emergency, I do not have time to do technical support.
The only thing I suggest is if it shows if there's a train going through. Like the crossing symbol thing will flash red.
I like it, however I have problems getting it to come up at times. Also not all crossings are listed.
I haul RR crews, and some areas have no Internet coverage to load maps. Need option of cache to sd card.
If it would work everytime, it would be a great app. This app is very slow most of the time when it does work.
Look to see what railroads they are and safety so if there's a crash you can call nine-one-one this app is the best
The crossover data is innacurate in Peabody, MA as the active rail line crosses Peabody Sq and the map doesn't show this.
It's a very handy way of getting information on Crossings. The information is only as good as what was entered into the database, but it still is pretty accurate. Some of the locations don't come up exactly.
It fills a niche purpose, but this app is great at what it does. Being able to view the inventory record and see if a crossing is worth conducting railfanning at is a godsend!
I've Uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. Never shows crossings.
Great app, there is one railroad crossing mislabeled, and there is one about 2000 feet from where it is supposed to be where i live
Will not show crossings at all
Worked great at first but crossings no longer pop up. Have uninstalled and redownloaded countless times. Great app when it was working

I'm not sure who fills out the paperwork submitted to the FRA but I know for a fact that more trains than was reported were going through our town at the time the form was filled out! The app itself saved me a lot of leg work. I don't have to drive to each crossing now to get the ID numbers!
