GoneMAD Music Player (Trial) for Android
A great music player with a lot of features. I would even go as far as saying that its the best one on android, BUT what Im missing is a feature called DVC (direct volume control). It makes the sound better overall. Thats why I would still prefer poweramp over this player. Sure poweramp has less features and a terrible design, but in the end all that really matters is the sound. I would be much willing to pay for this music player and switch to it, but first I would like to have this feature added.
I've been meaning to find a new music player to replace my beloved PowerAmp. I've used PowerAmp for about 3 years and I've found it irreplaceable. I've tried nearly everything in the play store and no other player provides customization to this extent. It seems that the developer genuinely cares about his product and as such, he keeps users updated on his blog. Rather than having me explain the customization options, I'd rather have all anyone reading this tinker and mess around themselves. I love the business model of allowing us to have a 14 day trial. Over the course of the trial, I found myself using GoneMAD more and more. I am deeply looking forward to version 3 of the player when it does come out. I have purchased the full version via the unlocker.
This app does everything the other music apps do and more. The quality is good and can be tweaked. Best of all, it is customizable. You can choose what features to use, what is on the menu and what font you see. You can even specify what folders to search for music and what folders to ignore. I can even tell it to use individual artwork for a mp3 file and not the album's artwork. Thank you.
Everything works as expected except one thing, it will not automatically play back on Bluetooth connection once the phone had been restarted etc. Very problematic for phones with failing batteries. PlayerPro was able to achieve this as running the service on boot, so I hope you do something similar to rectify this. 5 stars when this is no longer an issue.
I bought this app a long time ago now and have always liked it. It's customizable enough that I was able to set it up exactly like how I wanted, and there really aren't any alternatives that can look the same. If I had one wish, it would be more customization on the home screen widget - because the app itself is basically perfect.
The best music player to manage huge library and create playlist. It has a split view which allows you to nice arrange the playlist while seeing what is being played. You can customize many things and display the MP3 tags that you want. 6/5 :)
Cannot ignore folder for ringtones. I've selected and in selected and still there. Shouldn't have bought until researched but wanted to support dev. I'm sure it's used error but still frustrating.
I really wanted to like this. It has an attractive material UI & sounds very good. But it has two major drawbacks. The database tends to get confused if different artists have same named albums (e.g. Greatest Hits), so the cover from the wrong artist can show up. Almost impossible to fix. And no Playlist tab unless you go back to older non-material UI.
This is a great app. I love that I can randomize entire albums. My only major complaint is that when two songs with the same name, for instance "Wither" by Circus Maximus and "Wither" by Dream Theater, one of those songs is overwritten by the other. That second "Wither" disappears. I have to change the name of one of those songs before I put it on my phone and therefore the app. But again, I love this app and highly recommend it.
The app works really well and I like the player. Did a lot of research and testing of various apps before purchasing this one. Used to be a Poweramp user, but it no longer works, and I must say these authors have put a lot of effort into it. Only problem I have currently is occasional freezes, but I'm also on 8.1 beta and I doubt that the authors have had time to experience this. Happens about once or twice per day, but easily cleared by swiping the app away and reopening. Picks up right where it left off.
So, I think I've finally found the MP3 player I need. Does it all; has a couple of unintuitive quirks, but works well as a player, playlist editor, library manager and equaliser. IMO, the "back" button in the top-left of the "Now Playing" screen is an odd choice, and I'd like the option to select multiple items and enqueue them (currently only "play next" in menu). But whatever, this is still the best app I've tried so far and I've found a lot of others that lacked these essential functions or crashed when competing for system resources.
Best music player by far no out peforms all other players on play store highly recommended. The only music player I will ever use on android. Only criticism is the android wear extension would be much better if it could browse folders
After using so many of android music players like poweramp, black player, jet audio and other more, i finally found out the best music player out there. This music player provides you a lot of customizations anf that's what i liked the most about it. This one is simple music player with simple controls and great music quality Simply the best music player
Very good app, would like to be able to ignore the "a" prefix when sorting music as with the "the" prefix. Also, some music players have thumbnails next to artists which this one does not. Another nice feature would be an auto sort of playlist songs. Still paid for the full version because it's such a good app and one of the only Android music players to sort by Album Artist instead of just Artist.
Utterly useless! Totally frustrating! Every music player on the store that I've tried is compatible with iTunes rating and skip/play count format, except this one. So it's well named at least. Want to see your iTunes rating on this player? Too bad! Doesn't work. Want your play counts and skip counts to register once you sync to iTunes? Too bad again! That doesn't work either. It is especially frustrating as it does everything else right. It looks good and has tons of customization features, but failing at the basics makes it beyond useless.
Moved over from Power Amp due to lack of updates and so glad I did. Cracking sound and nice interface. Well done guys on a great player!!
Please make those now playing info a scrolling text instead of having 1-3 lines. It distorts the theme of created now playing ui theme when lines increased making it inconsistent. At least make an option for one liners to have scrolling text to make it beautiful. And rating a song takes so long to be applied. It freezes for about 30 seconds before it is saved to the song. Idk why? For holo themes, make the navigational swiping loop around at the first or last page instead of stopping. Make also transition speed adjustable. Transition is a bit slow. I know i can opt out on this one. But having quick and obvious transition of pages makes it very professionally nice and smooth. I would also recommend to allow the now playing page to be reordered in the view order. Other than those, the rest of the features are perfect in this player.
It's very feature-rich, you can customize the UI, scanning, sound, controls and many things more. It never let me down.
This by far is the best player on the market that I've been able to find for my Android devices. Simple, beautiful, and not too many unneeded options.
Among all the big players out there, this is the only app that won't lag in Android Auto. How do you manage to make it so lite weight. Keep up the good work. Gonna buy. Update: This app is so flexible that you can change anything and everything you think of. Really happy to have bought it.
Unfortunately this app reads the "year" tag of tracks. This results for me in several albums being split into two due to incorrect tags on a few tags. There is an option to edit tags but it can't be used as touching the three dots for this results in the list of albums shooting downwards rather than opening the tags edit menu
I've been using this app for almost 5 years now, I can't use any other music app. It's got everything you need in a music player and the UI is one my favorites.
Excellent app. It's the only one I have found that can handle libraries of 23k+ tracks without problem. Also lets you choose your Music dirs so it doesn't scan a bunch of WhatsApp audio.
Same song count (after scan) as Poweramp -- a feat that NO OTHER player app could perform that I could possibly find -- AND it has nice UI/support for AA!
I absolutely love this player! The sorting features are perfect. This is the only app that I've found that lets you group albums by artist, which was a big selling point for me. Tag editor is extremely useful, and I love the theming options.
Buggy playlist interface. Storage permission doesn't stick on Pixel 2 (Oreo). Ignore folder feature does not work. For a paid app, subpar.
I love this App. Been using it since day one..bought pro version within weeks off starting to use it and have never regretted the purchase. It just works
It is one the most beautiful music player and simple UI that's very cool but only problem is it's Pro Version is too costly.
Awsome mp3 player ever i seen, ui isaesome, only one thng tht we cant see now playing cue list
I've bin using this app. Thank you for useful app. But i need something now. Can you add function i can play music on my webdav source?
A way to get playlists to automatically sort by artist name, song name, etc. Would be very convenient. Other than that, there's nothing I dislike!
Best audio player for Android hands down. True gapless playback for mp3 files, plays multiple formats, extremely flexible configuration. Well worth the price.
Love it. Will recursively shuffle from any directory, great sound quality, lots of useful options, and an active and responsive developer. There are lots of good players out there, this is a great one.
Good all-rounder with many customization options. Overall look could use some "materialising", but that could just be me.
این ریده ورژن قدیمیش فوق العاده بود اکولایزر قوی ای داشت اما این نه بدرد نمیخوره یعنی مزخرفه
Doesn't support multiple genres. Sad, because I love everything else about this music player.
Long time user, love the app. Have yet to find a better music player for Android.
Very easy to use. Everything I want and more.
It cost a little bit, but this is the best music player for Android. It can be customized extensively.

Top drawer music player for android. Only one slight problem is that when the screen is off and I want to skip forward or back tracks it jumps two instead of one on my headphone remote. I am using a Nokia 5 with stock Samsung headphones. Previously used Groove on Win10 phone. Still slightly prefer my Win10 Groove player but this is the best on android and I've tried a few! Happy to pay the money for this.
