「臺灣生物多樣性網絡（Taiwan Biodiversity Network，以下簡稱TBN）」係依據「國家地理資訊系統建置及推動十年計畫」，於「生態資源資料庫」（原名「自然資源與生態資料庫分組」）架構下，所推動的基礎圖資及資料庫建置之分項計畫。如今已正式邁入第四年的發展。為了推廣與應用「生物多樣性資料庫」，因此開發了行動應用軟體（APP）。為了活絡TBN的營運、宣傳目前已有的初步發展成果，並促進更多使用者瞭解到生物多樣性的重要，故希望透過本APP的推廣，達成此目的。 "Taiwan Biodiversity Network (Taiwan Biodiversity Network, hereinafter referred to as TBN)" is based on "National Geographic Information Systems to build and promote a decade Program", in the "Ecological Resource Database" (formerly known as "natural resources and ecological database grouping ") under the framework promoted by the foundation plans to build a database of funding and itemized plan.
