Dimmer

This is a pretty good program, does what it claims well. The problem is that I tend to use my device with colors inverted. When doing that, I discover that it doesn't really dim, it only alters the color to mostly black, which inverts as mostly white (while remaining at the same intensity), so I cannot use it inverted. Plus the battery savings is likely not happening as much as I imagined.

I had installed this app in every phone i used but from couple of days this is behaving very strange... Its dimming and brightening whenever it wants... I dont exactly know whether the fault is in app or my phone.. But for now i am uninstalling this and trying some other!

I really like the scheduling, the color filter, and easy adjustment from the notification pulldown. But it turns off seemingly at random, mostly while using the default chrome browser. (not enough data to tell if it's that app specifically or just a limited runtime) So I'm doing some late-night research, and all of a sudden the screen jumps to full-white and about 3x the brightness!!! -2 stars for that.

I would add saving a few custom color filters as presets, with a notification button to cycle through them. I wasted money on paid apps that wasted their features on poor interfaces. this is the only screen adjuster so far with a useful interface. Low memory useage too!

When I'm watching videos late at night I find even the lowest brightness hurts my eyes against the pitch black darkness in my room, this app helps suppress that overwhelming brightness

Please fix! 7/17- I guess developer doesn't want to fix it. 3/17- still not fixed, 2/17 dropped star, still not fixed. UPDATE 1/1/17 dropped stars, new update has messed it up. It no longer stays on even though lock screen says it's on and at desired setting . When phone is unlocked, it goes immediately to bright like it's off but it shows that it's on. I have to immediately go to app and it has to be turned off & back on again. Its really annoying at night. I really wish I never updated. The old version worked perfectly. PREVIOUS REVIEW: 5 stars, Perfect dimmer for dark surroundings. Use it all the time! I have it on auto dim, great feature!

I really like the convenience of this app. The app itself is basically a setting, it's the widget is switch. BUT, the widget somewhat looks like Google Keep's icon and the pause play button like a music app. So I hope you could do the change and don't change function. Thank you!

It not covers tha navigation bar in 7.0 try to dim the navigation bar (back,home,multytask button)

I can use my tablet in bed and adjust the light much lower. Helps me sleep listening to podcasts. Best of many I've tried

It is a filter. None of the settings reduce the backlight, and the option to turn off the navigation button lights does nothing.

I like it so much because is save space and easy too use just one press.

Using this app from last couple of months but today I find a very annoying bug.. Whenever I go to file manager to install a app, install button didn't work at all.. I was about to visit service center but today while taking screen shot of that very intall option for showing to my friend I just increase the light of my phone to get a good screen shot and then suddenly I click on install.. It started working.. Trying again during dimmer on.. Again it didn't work... But now it's working after uninstall.

Owaisi Dar that's the way they work there is nothing wrong with it. What they do is write information across the screen to make it dimmer don't be alarmed all these types of apps do that. The only time to worry is if you make the screen too dark.

Dimming works fine. Although I have to pause it sometimes as Android doesn't allow overlays to click through for Install and Allow / Deny permission buttons. There's however a problem with Marshmallow update - the dimmer just keeps on getting killed randomly and then it appears back randomly.

I agree with the previous comment that the soft buttons should be dimmed again... they are very annoying & it defeats the purpose of the app. Everything else about the app is ok.

One of the best features of this used to be that it dimmed the Android soft buttons along with the screen. Now it no longer does that. FYI I have an LG G4 on 5.1

I have used and loved this app for awhile now. Love it but lately it keeps turning off on its own. Still use it but hope it gets addressed.

i tried a ton of dimmer apps and this is the best that i can get but please, make an update on the appdesign itself, it seems very much outdated .. and also have the navigation keys dim too, it will defeat the purpose of the app if you cannot make it dim (im using LG G3 running on 5.0).. but all in all, great job .. WE non-nexus users will wait for the update

Its not the fault of this developer that you can't install apps while the dimmer is active, that is a safety thing with android.

I really love this app. But i wish there was a feature to automatically turn it off under very bright environment like outdoors. There is this feature but i wish you suggest an optimal threshold

While using this app .the app installation button will not working.and it not covers the back ,home,mustitask button in 6.0

It keeps getting turned off every few mins and when I turn it back on it happens again. Not sure why

Works well. Great options, easy toggle mode. Just the UI is too outdated to blend in...

Install button gets disabled while installing apk. Has to suspend dimmer every while.

The idea of adapting to the environment is good... But that tint!?? It hurts your eyes more than it helps in the dark.

Do Not Update - I miss the old Dimmer app - PLEASE BRING IT BACK! The update makes everything yellow. LOVED it before. Thanks. Previous review: Easy to adjust

No osd Nav dim. Tried on 3 phones and 2 tabs. On screen Nav buttons do not dim. But app dims rest of screen below the norm. So still 45

Been using it for years but recently it keeps auto starting on its own, even when I force stop in the app settings.

You guys should rework the look though. It looks like baitware from the store.
