Columbus (geo,open)caching app for Android
Not as good as c:geo
Force closes during search on DROID X.
Pretty awesome. It does what it's supposed to. Vibrant
Great geo cach device...thanks
It works! No complaints here. Many options to choose from. Very intuitive and fast.
Crashes my HTC Wildfire!
Works well ... But it's no c:geo, but now that c:geo is gradually fading away due to the support being dropped, this will be more than sufficient.
I really like this app except that it keepams turning my phone off after about 10 seconds while I'm in compass navigation. Very frustrating.
Force closes when you try to open the details on a cache. Motarola cliq
Great great app for Geocaching on the fly. love it
Looks really good, but forces close on blade when importing gpx files. Imports 10 points then stops
Much quicker than c:geo but the UI is horrible. A good alternative if you can get on with it. I had rated it 4 previously but its getting worse
It looks like a great app, but force closes evertime I try searching for nearby caches online. :( HTC Google G1
Prefer the c:geo its just easier to work with
Good concept but it force closed on me often and it wouldn't always update to search my location. I had to uninstall it and find something better.
Amazing app and i would rate it better then C:Geo if it werent for the fact that it force closes, i think it only force closes on premium caches
I use this as my primary cache locator. Works great with lots of features. I just wish my phone got better GPS reception.
If you have another gps program running ...this will cause force close ...close all other GPS programs . Works on Motorola. Droid
This would be a great app, but it force closes. Lg optimus s. Please update I would love to use it!
Force closes while in the middle of caches. Droid x
Works great
Finally... a Geocaching App that is user-friendly! Waving good-bye to c:geo
Doesn't seem that user friendly. The UI also needs a major overhaul. Please refer to the Android design guidelines.
This looks promising. It's reasonably fast. Haven't tried to find a cache with it yet, but it looks good. Advertisements are a bit annoying, though, and there doesn't seem to be an offline map.
I have used this app for a couple of years and I can say that it is by far the best free geocaching app in the market. Only down side is there isn't a way I could find to calibrate the compass.
A good all-round geocaching solution.
Shows one cache on whole world map, checked known locations of caches and showed nothing. NO GOOD
I have had no problems at all with this app. It links easily to my Groundspeak account, is very intuitive to use, especially after my clunky old Blackberry Blackstar with external GPS and seems to do everything I want it to do. I downloaded this app along with GeoBeagle and GCDroid (which I couldn't get to work). I love that this downloads the nearest caches and the fact that it plots on a map - no more creating pocket queries; no more plotting onto OS maps; no more typing out the co-ordinates and cache details and hints. Wonderful. I did miss the hints at first, but then found the button to reveal them! I love, love, love this app and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Option to show or not show found and owned caches doesn't work.
First it keeps telling me my login and password is wrong..... it is not!! then it keeps telling me that i have no internet connection... and i have.. i did not bother to try to sort it out.. if it cannot handle basic info.....its NO GOOD.. immediatte uninstall
It's a very good app and the author is very responsive and adds feature requests.
It just depends where you are! On holiday , not very good, near TV mast. At home runs ok, bit slow but could be my phone. Keep trying, think its slightly better than c:geo
Seeing this app on the market prompted me to look into geocaching. Works great and I found a new hobby! Update: my first review was from two years ago, and the app was effective yet amateur. I downloaded it again for my new phone and this thing is amazing! The interface is great and it works even better than before. Great job!
LG LW620 fails to connect to geocaching accounts.
I have used many of the geocache apps, and this one has the best functionally. When I emailed the developer, I got answers the same day.
Please make direct link from application to market for downloading radar, people gets confused and it's my favorite way to look for cache :)
Use this as my primary geocaching unit. Wouldnt be without this.
Love it! Easy to use and havent had any problems so far, minus not knowing how to use the radar. Would definitely suggest downloading it!!
One of the best and it's free.
