MandelSplit for Android
This app has the best algorithms by far of any Mandelbrot set app. But, it uses a really clumsy coloring scheme that is not good looking and makes it difficult to use at high magnification. You will often see large areas consisting of nothing but random colors at deep zoom.
Fastest I've used. Efficiently switches between different precision number types. Draws by a divide and conquer quadtree algorithm. I've not seen such an approach taken by any other fractal app
I would like you to add a feature where there is a "Choose Fractal Button" where you could add Celtic, Mandelbar Celtic, Mandelbar, Buffalo, Perpendicular Buffalo, Perpendicular Mandelbrot, Left mobius mandelbrot, Simonbrot, Right mobius mandelbrot, Mobius Mandelbrot, and the ability to type the number of iterations.
Only a reset option is missing for me. Deepest, fastest Mandelbrot I've seen on a phone.
Great app good job dev.
One of the best...
At last a proper algorithm. Can crash when zoomed in a lot, but saves hours.
Great app. It really works out my S6 octa core processor which heats up the phone a bit (no fault on the developers part, just poor hardware cooling). It's the best fractal Explorer for mobile I've ever seen. The only downside is that when it's calculating and drawing, if you try switching to the home screen or put your phone in sleep mode, it will crash. But I'm confident the developer is already working on that. Kudos!!
The only things I would add are a "reset" button and a way to save your favorite locations/color settings.
Needs more options: save image, more color schemes, change formula, Julia set, etc.
It's good but it does not update immediately.
Long time fractal enthusiast and this is the best I have seen for Android. The author still has some bugs to take care of but he has been very responsive. Unbelievable how deep I can zoom with my phone!

Blows the other rendering algorithms out of the water by working in what seem to be fractal blocks. Instead of taking time rendering empty space and working at the level of entire lines one at a time. Its very simple interface with few options, still, its my favorite one currently on the free market.
