Mobile Metronome Pro for Android
I used the free version for over a year and I finally got fed up with the constant barrage of ads so I bought the pro version and it doesn't even work because it instantly crashes on start up. It would be a great metronome app if it would work. If you want to pay for something that doesn't work this is just right for you.
I've owned this for years; however, it now crashes any time you go from 8 to 4 in the subdivision (tempo x1 vs. x2). The only way around it is to clear the app cache and data and relaunch the app. I've been sending crash reports for months but never hear from anyone. Since the app hasn't updated in 2.5 years I would recommend other apps like Tunable rather than this. Before this it was an indispensable tool. Now it's just a frustration I don't need in a rehearsal.
It's a decent metronome, but it breaks. If it ever breaks, you have to uninstall and reinstall. It's really annoying. I wouldn't recommend this app.
My only problem with this app is that there is no option for a 1/4 time signature. I want the accented beat on all the time, but the best I can get is every other time (with the 2/4 time signature). Wish I could contact the creator directly as this is probably a really easy thing to fix, probably wont see this comment though :(
Looked around for a metronome for a while and was ready to pay $20 for a metronome that didn't have even half the features that this metronome app has. I have plenty of adapters and cables so plugging this into a sound board or mixer or amp is a breeze for me. Or works great just by itself too or into headphones. Cool.
I upgraded just to support app. Not much different except the top title bar is all glitched out. May require some lateral thinking with subdivide setting to deal with less common meters. I used 3/4 for 3/2.
This guy should be banned from making apps. Both of his apps on android stopped working. Audio speed changer and mobile metronome. What a joke, we should've all get our money back. I emailed him asking if he was planning on fixing these apps, and guess what I got? No response, go figure. Biatch
Great app but only 4 stars until you fix frequent crash (using Android version. 4.2).i have to uninstall then reinstall. Bit of a drag.
Do not buy this app unless it does exactly what you want it to because the developer has abandoned it. For example it can't do any time signature with a 2 on the bottom, only 4 and 8. He promised me a fix but didn't do it. I upgraded to the paid version thinking that I would see new features and improvements, there have however been NONE since then.
Very accurate and easy to use application. EDIT: It had some cosmetic UI problems under KK but now with Lollipop is gone. Kind of weird since this app is no longer updated.
Still hasn't worked (crashes immediately upon opening every time) ever since upgrading my Moto X 2014 to Android 5.0 Lollipop nearly a year ago. Very disappointing.
Interface is corrupt in both my nexus devises, developer doesn't respond and metronome adds clicks randomly! Otherwise brilliant
Hasn't worked on my HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, or my Samsung Galaxy S6. Won't launch correctly, and crashes everytime. Definitely wish I didn't pay for it.
This app stopped months ago. I used it daily with all of my students and have kept trying to open it, hoping for a bug fix update. However, it still crashes instantly without loading at all. No updates have been forthcoming and with regret I am giving up. I am very disappointed because this is the best metronome app! I hope they fix the bug and re-release.
Long time user, but a few months ago it started crashing on startup. Uninstalling and reinstalling it will give me one load of the app before it always crashes on load again. Using a Galaxy S4. There doesn't appear to be any future fix to this, so stay away from this once great metronome app.
I use this app daily, and it does exactly what I need. It keeps time well, though I have not really experimented with the vibrate option. I don't know what else a metronome app could possibly need.
I don't know how an ad free version of an app can be so unstable when the free version worked fine. The app constantly crashes upon opening on my Galaxy S5. Please fix this or I think a refund is in order!
Was great. Paid for it because the free version did exactly what I wanted out of a metronome. Now it stinks because it won't even start.
Just crashes every time I start it. Used to work fine. Not so much anymore. I'd use the free version but it keeps force-opening ads when in use. I'm officially done with this garbage.
Loved the free version. Thought I'd upgrade to pro and lose the ads. But ever since installing, Mobile Metronome Pro will not open. Crashes while starting. I have a moto x phone.
This app worked great and I have had the Pro version from the start, but constant crashes make this so much more a hinderence than a help. Please fix this!
Can't run on 5.1.1, but even the free version can work properly, so why the paid version? So fat the free version is the only metronome solved lag problem, please fix the paid version and I will mend a 5 star again. Now can just switched back to the free version.
I liked this app very much. I wish it would still work. But I've had trouble on two different devices now where the program dies on startup... Even if it's the first time running the app after a reboot. I've reported this behaviour several times, but have had no response. Disappointed. I bought the professional version because I thought it deserved it. Not sure what's happened. Do not buy now until bugs are fixed.

This really is a great app. Provides everything I need as a music major. Been using the free version for years, thought it time to go "Pro". I appreciate the heavy focus on functionality before cosmetics. However, maybe a material design UI would look nice with this app? One request though: I would LOVE to see Android Wear integration! I use this app with Bluetooth headphones so that I don't need my phone on me, but if I could change the tempo or meter from my watch I would be in practice-heaven!
I loved this app but haven't been able to open it without having it immediately crash the past month. On a galaxy s5...
This used to work great. Fired it up the other day and it crashes. Crashes every time I try to open it. :(
It was a good app, but now it crashes after running once and has to be uninstalled and installed again for it to run. It gets old quite quickly, not sure this will ever get fixed as some people seem to have reported this problem a year ago.
Sounds can not be set because there a bar with the name of the app (...useful) laid over the buttons. Pretty shoddy.
I liked the free version enough to try this. It will open once...sometimes. It refuses to reopen after minimizing it everytime.
I can't even open this now. What a waste of money. Crashes all the time.
Developer doesn't care that it crashes constantly after you paid. Buy pro metronome it's way better.
Very easy to use and works in every scenario. Sadly the developer hasn't updated this app in years; the icon is a pixelated eyesore.
but it constantly crushes vid start. just white block with 'metronome crashed' and that's it EDIT: only solution is to reinstall, but for now long
This is all I've ever seen since paying for the Pro version of this app. Been through software and OS updates on Galaxy S4 and still nothing. But the free version works perfectly so I use that! How ironic....
Worked fine before latest Android 4.4.4, but then wouldn't open. Clearing its data restored it to working fine. Moto G phone. On an old phone tempo was unsteady, but on Moto G it's good. I guess its down to processor speed.
The metronome itself is great. It doesn't lag on my LG G3 and provides a variety of subdivisions which are essential for general understanding. Although it posseses these great qualities, I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app on various occasions because once it crashes the app will not start again, i.e. it will crash no matter what. Once this is fixed, this app can be considered perfect.

I like this app because it is easy to use and does its job reliably. It provides a beat and a variety of effects. I use it to set a hiking pace but it would work equally well in the more traditional role of providing timing while one plays music. Well worth the small fee! Thank you for this app!
