About Twalk
Twalk is aimed at people who do not have the time to check Twitter constantly through the day for new Tweets, and at people who have trouble reading their Twitter feed, due to visual impairment.
Your home feed will be monitored, and read out as and when Tweets arrive using Androids Text to Speech (TTS) engine.
Network access is required to request authorization via OAuth to your Twitter account, and to check your home timeline every 80 seconds for new activity. Permission to monitor for boot completion is required to allow Twalk to start upon boot of your device. Permission to check the Network State is used to determine whether or not a WiFi connection is available, and connected. Permission to Wake Lock is required so that we can be sure that the TTS service will actually fire at the correct time.
Twalk was developed to do one thing, and one thing well. Development of Twalk is on-going - feel free to submit suggestions to us for features via reviews, or email.
