Funamo Safe Browser 2.0

Basically I'm a user of a phone that has Funamo. I don't get why parents can't just let their kids learn from the lessons they make. But people have to be so protective they made an app to watch what us kids look up. That is NOT trust. Why can't our parents just let us learn from mistakes if we look something up they don't approve of. Why are they supposed to have a say in what we do in our OWN life? Kids who are like me, and feel like we don't have the freedom we deserve, should do something about it.

This app requires the control settings app to work. The browser itself could use some improvements. But, the main selling point is the browser does not have a, "private browsing" feature. So overall, this and its companion app, are the best.

Updating my review after a few months. This browser works approximately 20% of the time. Expect to feel like the Internet is down multiple times throughout the day. Avoid this product until developers put in the time and effort to fix.Great concept, and it's worked intermittently. But the browser now doesn't let me open any single Web page. Can't even access Google. Hope you guys can fix the bugs but as far as I'm concerned, this was a big waste of money and I recommend finding an alternative product.

Its so slow and almost never works

The developer can do better. Certainly the intent of this browser is to replace chrome/bing, etc, but it is NOT in its optimal configuration. It needs major work.

So my dad has this browser on my phone along with Funamo for parental controls. For some reason I can't upload pictures to websites and other places were I can have profile pictures. Anyone else have this problem? Is it one of the features?

Unfortunately blocks some good sites, but it's good at blocking all the bad ones

Works great and keeps me accountable. Had a bunch of problems in the beginning but after contacting the developers, and getting a quick response, they asked that I uninstall and reinstall which fixed everything.

Blocks fine but constantly freezes

It would be great if this app actually loaded what i typed it bevause i have to reload it several times to get it to load 1 thing. You guys need to fix this

Great parental control and very reliable. It has all the features of a modern mobile browser.

This app used to drive me bonkers because of all the bugs it had. Now they appear to be fixed and it works well, except for when, after I close a tab and use a different app momentarily, when I go back to the already-open browser it will open and reload the tab I closed. Exiting the browser completely and reopening it temporarily fixes the problem. I'm not a huge fan of the overall design of the app, but everything else works well.

This browser makes me feel like I'm trying to access the internet/type on my old '92 Macintosh. It freezes, it's slow...great idea, but seriously, my Macintosh did actually work better than this does! :(

This app works well and I have no issues with it blocking something that's safe. The browser is user friendly.

Best parental control and safe browser on the google market. It is easy to use and it has all the features that matter. Excellent!

It sits and does nothing when I tell it to load a page. On average it probably takes me 3-4 tries to get it to load. When it finally does, it loads immediately! So why doesn't it load right away in the first place? Does ANYONE test this out before putting it on the market?? Oh, and it re-opens old tabs in the background, so I have to close a tab several times total before it finally stays closed. I'm seriously considering pestering Funamo for my money back from the other app. So, great concept, POOR app.

I like the new tab implementation on tablets. it feels just like chrome. Awesome!

Since I am in the IT field and a developer I think I can comment on this from a technical point. Where are the forward and back buttons? Not in the settings menu for sure. Come on a modern browser with no forward or back buttons, this has been a default feature of browsers for what 15 years? Browser is slow, doesn't load pages that load easily under the normal Android browser. I'm giving 1 star because of these and the fact the browser is impossible to use as the only browser.

It works fine now, but I dont like the newer design. Works very well in terms of the filter and browser. I'm having a lot of trouble with videos not working. I can click them but they won't play and the time just says "0:00" and also it hides the option to make it full screen

Funamo is the best parental control app. Easy to set up and simple to use. It has all the features i need. Great app!

I have tested many parental control apps and safe browsers. Funamo safe browser and Funamo parental control is absolutely the best. The browser is free but the parental app is paid.

Supprisingly good. Very nice browser. Filters well.

Doesn't always allow zooming on webpage and often zoomed in without allowing panning.

I love this browser for my kid who just need a good safe browser without overloaded with many useless features. Page loads fast and interface is clean and intuitive.

Clean simple and fast. Web filter is very robust. Love the blacklist feature.

I downloaded this app on another phone for my younger brother. We blocked some words on the Internet filter under Funamo. This browser blocked sites with those words but allowed my brother know why it was blocked. Stating that if he wanted to view the website he had to add it to the Whitelist. This ridiculous, the whole point of blocking the words is so that he wouldn't know in the first place. Please in the future just block the site without any explanation as to why it is blocked.

I really liked the older version, was comparable to chrome and worked really well. Recently the complete makeover has left me frustrated on many levels, finally set my proxy settings so I could use chrome. Keep working on it and stick to the chrome or dolphin feel and you'll have happy users.

I had some issues with setting up the filter. The tech support was really helpful. Now everything is all setup and it works great! Thank you!

It even supports flash video! Awesome!
