Satellite Dish Pointer for Android
It works the best of all the apps I tried. I did have to do some Google work to find out which satellite I was looking for. The app doesn't help you with that. Just point it toward the sky, find your satellite, move until you find a clear shot. Awesome. Dish network, 61.5, 110, 119. (Fyi)
The image on Nexus 5x is flipped upside down. That's due to g sensor of these phones. It will be the same with all Nexus phones after 5x. Need some workaround
Cannot make heads or tails of it. No instructions on how to use it
Works fine for me with a portable sat dish and traveling all over the US in an RV.
Only thing that would make it better would be the ability to use the front facing camera.
Why does it require access to my photos, storage, phone calls, etc.. OTT I think!
doesn't work camera display is turned sideways
Dont work on Android 6
Very nice app
Doesn't work
Great
I like it
pointing camera at optus d1 and dish was nearly horizontal . not right. tilted down till indicator was at 60 degrees and found it. .uninstalling now as I can't waste time like that. .
I tried the free version. It seemed to work great, so I purchased the PRO Version. The PRO Version did not work correctly. The PRO appeared to function but displayed a message at the bottom of the screen that it said could not obtain a GPS fix, so I uninstalled it. This makes me wonder if the free version is actually working properly or not. This was on a Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 6. If this is a bug in the version, or a conflict with the Android version, I would re-consider once fixed. Also, in both versions, the app doesn't seem to shut off properly when trying to exit, and I have to use the "close all recent apps" feature to ensure that it actually quit.
Just what I needed. My dish was knocked over and Tech support told me it would be a week before someone could come out. Downloaded multiple apps to try and get signal for Direct with no luck. 5 minutes with this one and service was restored! Easy for a non tech savvy person to use for a simple task.
Not working, only camera view but no satellite indicated after selected a satellite. /uninstalling.
It is not working on my galaxy j5..
This doesn't work at all.
Wouldn't stop beeping even after closing the app. Now deleted.

Please add option to add at least 12 satellites on pointing screen at same time. Works great on single satellite. Simply find one sat in stb and get the signal strong as possible. Find a way to mount phone to dish with signal from program dead on same sat. Pan across the sky to find exact location of any other sat. If on gps and doesn't work for you then it's your phone or operator error.
Easy to use App. But text size of overlay (showing e.g. compass and elevation) should be bigger on Note 3. Adjustable text size would be even better. Also larger selection of colors for text would improve readability.
Grate app set my dish up in less than 10 min saved $100
So far the app has got me closer to what my ultimate goal is. I am trying to determine what branches of a tree I need to remove in order to have a clear site line. I am just a little lost on the exact process for using the app. 1.) Do I need to try to get my phone in the exact location of where the dish will be? i.e. At the right height and approximate angle? 2.) Once I am able to get the location of the satellite in the crosshairs, what are the obstructions I need to be concerned with? Anything that is on the screen of my phone? I appreciate your help!
Dont work on Android 5
Just a arrow on screen and a list of satellites. Tried on phone and tab.
An app that does what it says. Easy to use.
What great app, i was able to locate the exact branch of a tree blocking my satellite reception and remove it without cutting the whole top off the tree
Keep up the good work!!!
I like it
I could not understand how to use will you please to help

Azimuth seems to be off. The azimuth settings for satellites appear to be true north values but t think the app is using magnetic north values from my phone. The location where you show the satellite (echostar 12 in this case) is about 10-15 degrees east of where I expect the sat to be. This is about the error that would occur if you used a true north values but pointed me magnetically. I used a different app and it pointed me where I expect the sat to be. I like your apps interface better, but not if it can't point me in the right direction.
