Frinky Music Controller

It works well with my Redmi note 3 and it's very useful and saves so much hassle from taking out my phone and changing the track. Last time I had the chance to skip tracks like this was back when I was using my blackberry bold 9900 where it had integrated Pause/Play, Volume Up/down with Next/Previous track buttons.

At least this doesn't want access to make calls or want my contacts list. Please keep this as it is and only improve upon the app for it's intended purpose, no point in doing what pocket skip track did and start going adding goofy "features" that have nothing to do with skipping tracks. Can you make it faster in operation? There is a couple seconds lag between pressing the volume key and it actually skipping.

Good UI, great tutorial documentation and so far it does what it says. One problem maybe: I can't seem to increase/decrease volume (double click) without skipping song. Samsung S6 edge on 6.0.1, Samsung stock music player. Anything I did wrong here?

I'm so happy I found this app! It accomplishes the one feature I've truly missed from my many previous years of using rooted phones, but with no root required. Best part for me is that it also works with the volume buttons on a bluetooth connected speaker. I bicycle to work with a UE Boom in my water bottle cage. Until now, I could not change tracks using the Boom itself. This fixes that problem and has thus significantly changed my life for the better :)

Works fairly well. On occasion it doesn't entirely work. I have the zte zmax pro, so I'm not sure if there is just a compatibility issue. But over all. Does what I need

I have Oneplus3 & app fails on my device. App only works when screen is off. I was expected control on screen & music app running in background. V up button plays next track once after it fails. No next track runs only volume got up. Down button does not play previous track, quick Up+Down does worked but it is annoying and less chance to correct sequence pressed every time. See if you can fixed these bugs. Suggestions to use power button to stop music than 4 click method. The 2 stars for concept, I like it.

I loved it. I just got a new phone, the previous one was a Cyanogen OS. I start playing music and try the volume keys to change the song, well it didn't work on stock Android. Then I find this app great work on programming it.

Any fix for the max volume problem possible in the future? It started happening with many volume skippers ever since I installed Marshmallow, otherwise, nice app.

Really great app.... more fun listening music. It would be much better if we could play track again after we have paused it by double clicking down+up.

Hi, this is a nice app! I hope you can add an option to switch/reverse the order of function. For example: slow single clicks = volume, while quick double clicks = change track. Thanks!

Would be nice if there was a default long press to change track. Single click will increase volume as usual. Possible? Great app by the way. Using Poweramp on 7.1.1 Lack of Xposed framework forced me to search for alternatives. Keep up the great work!

Exactly as advertised! Only thing that would make it flawless is being able to skip while volume is maxed. Would be perfect after that! Great job devs. Edit: I've found a bug, when connected to my Bluetooth speaker. If I skip more than once, every skip increases the volume until it's maxed and I can't skip anymore. Could this be fixed? Only get this with Bluetooth not aux or phone speaker. Thanks for the quick reply!

Great app but needs a pause feature. Right now the stop function turns off music app and you can't turn music back on with key presses.

This one works, but I bought the pro version and instantly did a refund. The pro version does not have the method 1 and 2. This free version works for my phone when using method 2. If you fix that on the pro version, I'm ready and willing to pay for it again. This app works great nonetheless. Thanks a lot for inventing such a great app, app keeps all its promises at a great level. Finally as a genuine user I'll request you to keep pro version of this app for trial for few days after installation that will be great for growth & user experience.

But could interfere with Lg K7 (type phones), when shortcut keys are enable. For instant camera and note access.

Was ok until it stopped. Disappointing. The competition "skip tracks" was as bad as this. Btw tried both default Samsung and musixmatch. From Samsung S4

Works perfectly alongside Poweramp on my LG G3 running AOSP Marshmallow (Turbo). I'm rooted and it skips on long press with no issues. Very useful for skipping tracks without always needing to look at my phone.

would be better in my opinion if the change track is changed to holding volume buttons for 1 second instead of clicking. awesome app btw!

It gets the job done. What I would like though is an option to skip with long presses like on CyanogenMod. Doing double tabs to change volume feels strange.

Works out very well, full support with Amazon music. Has a 500ms-1sec delay but that isn't really bothering, 10/10

Does what I need: changes track AND volume with volume buttons. Now I can change tracks AND volume without removing my phone from my pocket.

Damn near a flawless victory! Only problem I see is the volume increases 1 notch for every song skipped on S7 Edge

Similar apps or tweaks have existed over the years. Finally I can say this is the best one for non-rooted phones that can support almost all music players. Currently using it on xiaomi phone and it work smoothly. Kudos to the developer! Thank you!

It didn't work in redmi note 3... U deserve 5 star but redmi background management is dumb.. so I need help...

I can't get the up,up,down,down to work. XD but all in all, it delivered what it promised.

Did not work on redmi note 3 on first install. I reinstalled it and then in permission manager turned on the "auto start", app worked after that.

At first, I thought it was complete BS 'cause I couldn’t figure out how to do it. But, now I do, so it works. There's just one thing though, I change the volume very often, so I feel that having to double click to adjust volume is gonna be a problem for me. But oh well, it works, what more can I ask?

It worked once, does not anymore. Tried everything suggested including reinstall. I have a S7 and using it with Google music.

My biggest gripe with this is going back a track. Either having an option to disable double tap for volume or making the back key go back a track rather than the start of a track.

Very simple idea that makes my life easier. Now I can skip songs while jogging without digging my phone out of my running belt. And at work without waking up my phone. I can use the buttons on my ear buds! Very nice! Thanks bunches.

Very nice app. However is there anyway to change the way the buttons work? I am used to press then hold the volume buttons to skip a song. The single press made me accidentally skipped a song many times.

Background permissions have been given as well, method 1 and 2 do not work.

Was looking for an app that could skip songs for Spotify while I'm driving but each one was just a music app on its own or incompatible, cheers man!

Works great on my Sony Xperia Z2 using the volume keys for track skipping. Can still use them for volume control at the same time.

As a music lover, I take my headphones everywhere to have music on the go. The thought of changing tracks without having your phone out of pocket is brilliant! Well played sirs, well played!!!

Recommended. Most LG devices are extra suitable for this app because the volume buttons are on the back of the phone; i.e. with the screen facing the table below. Makes it very convenient to use volume buttons for next/previous.
