Free BriAn Bridge Client

Highly recommended. We have used this for over 2 years without a glitch. Lots of movement variations are possible and upload to a BridgeWebs site at the end of the evening is effortless. Running costs are easily affordable.

My small weekly game (4-5) tables has used this for three weeks now and most of the players love it! No travelers, automatic score calculation (no more look ups, checking vulnerability &c.), ability to continuously check rankings. As the director, I bought 5 cheap and nasty tablets and place them in table mode, one per table. Setting up a game is easy, and I do that on my i-pad in director mode and then tell my players to start. I cannot say that this is bug free BUT the support response is phenomenal.

Mildenhall Bridge Club have now been using this system for nigh on 6 months and after a few early teething problems, which were courteously and efficiently dealt with by the creator of this app, we are totally at one with it. In addition it saves our director (that's me) a load of work, particularly at the end of a session when I don't have to do anything other than press a button. This system is ideal for small clubs that can't afford to buy expensive hardware to achieve the same result. Everybody has a smart phone these days and they make very good bridge scoring devices so it seems daft not to use them. I have been looking for a system for scoring duplicate games by the players instead of a director having to score after all the players have left. I was considering Bridgemate but it is prohibitively expensive except for large clubs. I chanced on BriAn Bridge through google and I have not looked at anything else since. It is the answer to any director's prayers. It scores duplicates (plus may other types of games) with all kinds of options built in - movements, entering of names, scoring methods and it gives complete outputs - ranking, personal scores, board scores all instantly immediately the last person scores. All players just use their own smartphones. There is no need for bridge pads or computers. The director sets everything up on his own phone (or preferably a tablet is used for people for bad eyes). Player's input is easy on the phone's screen. There is no need for any paper as all is done on the screen - all results displayed in bright colourful text and numbers.
