SMS Messaging (AOSP)

After the Feb 24 2017 Google updates, all my G apps only work over wifi, despite total reset with wiped SD card. So I am relieved to have found a SMS app that still works on lollipop using phone data. Thanks.

Can't retrieve images or video sent by others. It's annoying, no matter what settings I change - auto retrieve/manual retrieve. It's detrimental for work as it is quicker than email - supposedly. Using an LG X Power on Virgin Mobile.

My regular messaging app took a crap...I had to change. All looked good with this one...till I went to the enter key. Emojis? I need a RETURN KEY! Please give us that!

SMS works fine. MMS it keeps sending the same message over and over until it "fails" . Problem is, the recipient receives the message each time its attempted.

It really retrieve my incoming messages that my old messaging can't. Thank you

Can't view conversations, send messages, or delete conversations. App appears to be in "read only" mode.

Having all of the same issues mentioned. Can't receive pictures and when I send pictures, it states Sending and recipient receives a dozen of them!!

This is a great SMS app, with a few lacks. It has all the basics better than most SMS apps - clean fast and to the point interface. Three things that it lacks and that annoys me is that (1) you cannot select and copy the phone number (you can create a new contact, but not simply copy the number). (2) You cannot simply dial an unsaved number (as far as I can see) - again you can save it as a new contact, but not dial directly. (3) Finally, you cannot select and copy text from a message. Nexus 5. And same as so many other people... MMS not working, group messages don't work. Would love to be able to send and receive photos. Was my go to app, transferring to something else until the issues get sorted out, if ever. Doesn't seem like these fixes are in progress as there has been no reply to anyone regarding these issues.

When people send me pictures, I don't receive them. When I try to send them pictures, it tells me that sending failed, but they receive the picture multiple times. If this could be fixed, I would love this app.

Often it says "sending" forever then sends a "message not sent" note but actually has sent the message a dozen times and doesn't acknowledge responses. It literally makes this messaging software unusable now.

I'm running a stock, unrooted OS on a GPE S4. This app stopped working after the 5.1 update. That's just ridiculous. I loved using this app but not any more.

I like it, but I hate the fact that you can't call people from it. Also I don't like that you have to press on a message to select messages to delete. That was very confusing.

Worked perfectly for longest time however since app Nov 2015 does Not receive pictures attachments- please fix!!

"Message not sent" errors with pictures, but recipients get pics anyways, over and over and over ...

I occasionally receive multiples of the same message, though I don't think it's the apps fault. I think it is the carrier. This app is serving me well - no complaints.

Hey dev, you can't reproduce this because as you said your nexus didn't have a stock app. I fixed my 505 issue by, force stopping stock mms, disabling it, navigating to /data/data/com.android.mms renaming that to mmsZ and same with .mmsservice, rebooted and then finally I was able to install. However this lacked the one reason I wanTed aosp mms. The delayed delivery option, where you can set it to 3 second and every time you hit send it counts down and gives you the option to tap it, reverting it to a draft

As others mentioned will not send MMS, app destroyed and removed wasted valuable real estate.

Working great and looks great on my Xperia Z2, but I miss having the little circle and number on the icon to tell me when/how many new messages I have received. If I'm not present to hear the new message sound, there's no way for me to know if I have new messages or not.

I love this app; I hate mandatory hangouts on nexus 5. Unfortunately, this app won't send or receive picture messages. The sent pictures never send, received pictures stop the app. 3 stars due to this significant bug

A great replacement for the evil hangouts app. Works much better.

I loved the app in the past, but now, there is a ! notification that comes up each time I send a text that says message not sent. It says touch to review, but when I do, it just brings me to all messages. So I can't tell if my texts send or not. I have a nexus 5 with newest software updates. Any way to fix this? Thanks

Love this app, simple, fast, clean, just the best! Unfortunately there is an "unknown error" when I try to install it. Could you please look into it? Using Euphoria ROM (5.0.2) on Nexus 5

Problems sending and receiving pictures. And receiving text messages late. Nexus 5 with 5.1 update.

Group messaging doesn't work with latest android version on Nexus 5 as of 3/12/15. Please fix! Otherwise, great app.

I installed this on my Nexus 5. Originally i was able to send photos using this sms app. Now when i try to attach a captured photo and accept it by tapping the check mark, nothing happens. I am able to attach a photo that is stored on my phone. Are my setting incorrect or the app no longer supports that feature?

Everything is functioning. Add themes for 5 stars. The default is too bright.
