About Secret Codes

Secret Codes is an Open Source application allowing you to scan your device and discover hidden functionalities.
A secret code is defined by this pattern: *#*#code#*#*.
There are multiple ways to trigger them, but the simplest is to directly enter them in the dialer app.

Nice app! Didn't expect it to be this good. Thought it's just a list of codes I'd have to manually type in myself. :D

Well I do see the hidden codes, however I think that a description of what the code does is warranted, considering that some can really screw up devices.

DO NOT use this App carelessly, I accidentally clicked and my phone restarted and opened a Chinese menu. **After 20 minutes trying to decipher using google translate and a lot of sweat I was able to bring it back.**

It's open source so hopefully people can contribute more secret codes for their specific devices. As it is now, it looks like the only specific model codes are from HTC. There's about a handful of global or app specific codes, a couple of them have some interesting info. I never knew you could access supersu with a dialer code until now. Add *#06# for meid

First the codes are generally collected and not specifically for your phone, so many don't work. Secondly most of the service codes (that I found) were not available. Excellent app and nice to see an app that is useful and interesting but needs improvement. Also I found a secret logger on my phone called Smith installed by HTC.

Torn between 3 and 4 stars. It scanned, found a list of codes, and when I tapped one it said it was sending it, but nothing happened. But... they don't work from the dialer either, so it may be something with my phone. So I guess it probably does what it says, I'm just disappointed it didn't work for me.

The receiver name may give hints about the functionality that's exposed with that secret code. Also, it's too easy to tap a code by mistake while scrolling, i did it multiple times, it would be nice to have a confirmation prompt.
